Pet care experience
I've taken care of pets since I was young. I grew up with dogs and cared for friends' pets. Recently, we had a labradoodle who lived to be 13 years old. I have helped train dogs and have also taken care of an insulin dependent senior dog. I also transport animals when needed as part of group transferring animals from one city or state to another. I take care of friends pets when needed. I also volunteer at our local animal shelter.

Gina was great with my Frodo on a weekend and a seperate one-week stay! She sent lots of pics and updates. I can tell she genuinely cared about my dog and his wellbeing and happiness. Will definitely use her again.

If caring for dogs in my home, I have a fenced-in yard, crates if preferred, dog toys, etc. I live with my husband, who also likes to spoil fur babies. We do have stairs, if that makes a difference for your pet.

It is helpful to me to know if your dog is reactive to other dogs. It is also helpful to know what they are allowed to eat or not eat (for example, a pup cup). It is helpful to me to know if your dog sleeps on the bed, in a kennel, or on the floor. It is important for me to know if your dog has medical issues I should be aware of.
A typical day
What I will do with the dogs will depend mostly on their regular routine. We live very close to a large, beautiful park with walking trails. That is usually the preferred place to walk. If I am walking a dog that is not comfortable possibly meeting another dog at the park, I will walk the dog in the neighborhood. We have a fenced in yard, so I will also play with the dog in the yard. How much we do in a day will depend on the dog.

Availability
I am semi-retired. My schedule is pretty flexible. Sometimes, I fly out of town to assist my parents. This is one reason why the flexibility of Rover is appealing to me. I usually make my schedule fit in with the pet's regular routine.
