Pet care experience
Hi, PLEASE NOTE: Prices have SO many variables and multi dog, long stay and SEVERAL OTHER DISCOUNTS are available. Care is TAILOR MADE FOR YOUR PETS. So please dont go by site generated costs. Once we've talked, i will give you an exact quote. Also, due to a recent merger, as of June 2017, technical difficulties have caused me not to receive many requests. I always respond very quickly, so if you have not heard back from me within an hour, please text my personal cell at nine one zero 7nine5 fiv fiv 22. Thnk you.. Hi, I am a Re-Socialization trainer and Rehabilitation of abused, neglected and homeless pets, as well as the former owner of "Almost Home" Pet Hotel and Rescue; a dual purpose facility that acted as both a pet hotel (the UNkennel) for loved pets, while owners were away, and an all breed rescue for homeless, abused or aggressive dogs. (as well as cats, a few pigs, horses and a sweet old cow) I took an entirely different approach to boarding than what was conventional. I found pet care had become an "Industry" run by people who just didn't seem to understand how the ultra sensitive canine heart and brain operated, and strived to create a "home" environment. I have worked as a Veterinary Surgical Assistant, I am currently an avid Rescue worker and Co-ordinator, an Activist for the reform of Canine protection laws, an Aggression Rehabilitator and the former Owner of a pet hotel. (Won "Kennel of the Year" for NC in 2004.) I orchestrated the Maxton Mastiff Rescue in 2005, resulting in the 1st ever jail sentence of an abuser in that county. And I work diligently for animal rights. I began the "Last Chance" program in NC and had a 99% rate. I also created and ran "The 1st dog on the Right" program, in where I rescued animals from high kill shelters. What my experience has taught me is that food and shelter are NOT enough. If you are not providing care for the WHOLE pet, they feel it. Their brains and emotional range are incredibly close to that of a human toddler, and so must be their treatment and care. I have developed dozens of little tricks and tips to make a dogs transition away from their family seemless. I LOVE every minute I spend with these babies and they know it! Nothing I can tell you will speak as loudly and ring as true, as your dogs reaction. Your dog will never lose weight while in my care or experience loneliness or separation anxiety. Hugs and Kisses by the boatload. I am more than happy to work out discount pricing for long stays or multiple dogs. Extremely experienced with special needs, diabetics, seniors and emotional/temperament issues. As of March, 2015, I will be moving to my new home, with a very large, fully fenced yard. My 2 little dogs are kept separate from guest pups in most cases. About Gina Lynn E.: I am currently working diligently to re-open my rescue/sanctuary again, projected for 2017-18, but until then, this a great way to keep working with animals. They are my passion, as they have been for all the days of my life. All doggy guests are given my homemade organic, human grade "dog" food, added to their normal food, 2x per day, free of charge, with pet parents permission. This makes for the happiest, healthiest pups in the world. Please ask me about WholeDog by BrainHeart.
Reviews
Our pups stayed with Gina for a week and seemed very happy there. She sent lots of photos. She's great!
Once again, Gina was fantastic with Flipper.
Gina was great with Flipper. She was our go-to pup sitter when we loved in Wilmington!
Gina is very well versed in high needs pets and multiple dog households. She took great care of my tetrapalegic dog as well as my 6 other dogs. Recommended!

No breed preferences. Anyone discriminating against specific breeds knows very little about the canine brain. No doggy racism here. Having said that, i would love to know everything about your furry babies. The more i know, the happier i can make them. They are as unique as snowflakes and so will be their care.
