I've always had animals around me and in my home even as a child. I decided at 16 to start working for a veterinarian. I started off working as a kennel helper and worked my way up to become a veterinary technician. While working at the vet clinic I would also pet sit and housesit for clients who were going out of town or needed help. I enjoy giving pet parents the peace of mind when they need to leave their pets in my care. I believe my background gives me an advantage over other people who have not worked around animals in a veterinary setting. Working as a technician gave me invaluable experience to be able to know if A pet needs to be treated by a veterinarian or not.

She is a responsible, smart, and caring petsitter! I've known Gillian several years. I trust her 100% with my furr babies, and you can too! She will take care of them like they're her own. She has tons of experience at veterinary clinics. She will notice if anything is wrong and notify you or the vet. You couldn't ask for a better petsitter!
I highly recommend Gillian for any pet lover who is looking for a caring and dependable sitter for their fur babies. Our experience with Gillian has always been that she is professional, VERY reliable and will go the extra mile for your pet's needs and comfort while you are away. I know she enjoys playing with/exercising them, attending to their needs, keeping their routines as normal as possible for them until you return home! I appreciate that Gillian also stays in communication with us if need be, regarding our pets. She is incredibly responsible and when we aren't with our pets for any length of time, I always call her to pet sit because I have never worried about our dogs and cats (and tortoises!) while away--not only because of Gillian's connection with our pets, but also her veterinary background which is extremely comforting to my husband and I because we feel confident our pet's needs will be quickly and safely addressed by Gillian. I also trust her expertise in getting my pet(s) any further veterinary care should an emergency ever arise before we can return home. She's is just great with animals, I have and will continue to recommend Gillian.
I am leaving Gillian my dogs in my will. I am blessed that she has agreed to do that for me, and it gives me unbelievable peace of mind . That's the kind of quality person Gillian is . She has many years experience working with Vets and animals. There could be no better person to take care of your dog. She anticipates their needs, and is always there with a loving hand to calm and reassure them that they are OK All dog parents Will be able to be free from anxiety if Gillian is taking care of their dog. Gillian is thoroughly capable of taking care of any situation that may arise and your dog will totally fall in love with her!!
Really nice experience. Not only did I feel I was leaving my dog with someone who loves dogs but also someone competent and experienced. She even clipped my dogs nails at my request ! I will definitely be using Gillian again.

One of the things that I need to know about a dog before I pet sit for them is what their temperament is like. Are they good with other dogs? Are they afraid of anything? Do they have any allergies? I would also need to know any pertinent medical history.
A typical day
One of my favorite parks to take dogs on walks is ironwood park in Palm Desert. It has a great environment for dogs to walk in because it has ,of course, a groomed grassy area for them to play on but it also has natural desert habitat that they can also enjoy walking through and not have to worry about snakes are other creatures that can cause harm. I also enjoy taking dogs to the dog park I think that they have a lot of fun there and it gives them a chance to play with other dogs.
