My husband and I live in a single family home with a fenced in yard. We also have a dog door. We have two rat terriers ourselves but often take care of my parents schnodles and siblings Great Dane and Aussie Shepard. We allow dogs on furniture and beds. Our neighborhood is very dog friendly and has great walking paths. We are both athletic and like to run daily. I work from home so there will be someone home all day. My husband is a professor and is home most days as well. I grew up the grand daughter of a UGA vet graduate. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, deer, raccoons, chinchillas, and many other animals growing up. Our pets are our children and we would treat your pets just the same.
