Pet care experience
There's nothing quite like the feel of a kittie purring away as they lay on my lap or cute pooch curled up alongside to bring a smile to my heart. I specialise in longer sits, from 7 days to 3 months. Longer and shorter considered. I care for your pets as if they were my own and ensure their routines and boundaries are maintained to minimise the potential stress of change that some animals experience. I've taken care of cats old, young, kittens, rescues, indoor, outdoor, ace mousers and birders (cats will be cats!) and varying breeds including Himalayan and Bengal. I have experience with dogs of varying ages, sizes and temperaments e.g. Cockapoo, Schnauzer, Jack Russell, German Shepherd, Terriers, Labradoodle, Staffies, and mixed breeds. Since a child, I've cared for small animals and birds e.g. tortoise, gerbils, hamster, fish, rabbits, budgies, cockatiel, my own and belonging to family - in later years they've belonged to friends and when house sitting in the UK and France (for up to 2.5 months).

Gill looked after our 3 dogs and 2 cats while we took a well deserved break in the sun. From the first time we met Gill she came across as a thoroughly caring and professional person. She was thorough in getting to know our pets behavioral traits, and their different dietary and daily requirements. Whilst we were on holiday Gill kindly set up a WhatsApp group to ensure we received regular updates on our pets, which was a great comfort especially as we hadn't been away from them for longer than a day previously. On our return from what was a very relaxing break Gill very thoughtfully had left us a loaf of bread , milk and a lovely bunch of flours. Getting to know Gill together with the exceptional care that she provided for our pets means that we will definitely be booking her services again without hesitation.
This is the second time we've had Gill pet sit our very nervous rescue cat. He normally won't go near anyone other than us, but he was comfortable enough to sleep on Gill's lap (she sent us a photo) - testimony to her gentle approach to animals!! Would highly recommend Gill, and we are using her pet sitting services again later this year.
Gill was recommended to us by our dog sitter when we were struggling to find short notice sitting for our dog Wilson. What a find! Gill is organised, calm, reliable, diligent, accommodating and very thoughtful. Wilson was well looked, as was our home, and entirely at ease. Gill did an eleven day sit for me in June looking after my dog Zeus and my cat Freya . Gill was totally amazing, my babies were so well looked after . We came home to a very clean home , towels and bed linens washed with fresh bedsheets. I have a small patio with a few plants on it which looked amazing when I got home . Watered and weeded :) . I also have a beautiful new plant on the patio, a welcome home present from Zeus and Freya . I would 100% recommend Gill and will Definitely we booking Gill again .

It's important to me that I'm the right sitter for your pets. Please let me know of any special dietary, training, behavioural or other specific requirements your dogs or cats have, so I can take this into account. Specifically, I would also like to know whether: ~ your dog(s) have any behavioral problems or reactive with other dogs ~ they have any history of being aggressive towards other dogs or humans ~ the dog/cat has ever ran away from home or got lost before ~ if the dog has been handled by other people before e.g. family members, friends, dog walkers/sitters - and how it went ~ if they have been left overnight with a sitter before - and how it went I prefer to work with cats and small to medium size dogs though all considered. A typical day
I like to find out the places your dogs love to walk and explore, whether that's the nearby park or beach, so they feel safe and secure in their surroundings. I am a driver with clean licence though do not own a vehicle. Past clients have added me to their car insurance, at their expense, so I can take their dogs to the local woods, beaches, and so on. I'm happy to consider this for all sits, please ask.

Availability
I work around 10 hours a week on Zoom as a Therapist, which means there's lots of time for cuddles, play, exercise, loo breaks, and the flexibility to keep to established routines whilst looking after your beloved pets and cherished home. I'm a non-smoker and very quiet around the house, so your neighbours won't be disturbed by loud music or TV blasting through the walls. I've green fingers too, so your houseplants are also in safe hands - mine (all 30+ of them!) are flourishing - the secret is talking to them and filtered water - try it out for yourself!
