Hire Me! Digital Nomad Animal Lover

Pet care experience

I've practiced healing and bodywork on people and animals, including horses, donkeys and mules, dogs, cats, and birds. I grew up in Connecticut with a seal point Siamese named Sarah. Sarah taught me that animals don't need to use language to communicate clearly. She was my pal and was with us for 18 years. Although I've lived with cats for most of my life, My partner and I also raised two puppies (Pit Bull / Hound Mixes). They were amazing and beautiful and lived long and healthy lives (15 years). Ours were the champ and the runt of the litter and both outlived the rest of the crop. :) We cooked a lot of their food for them for years.

Safety, trust & environment

The 2 cat litter boxes are cleaned 1-2 times per day. All 3 cats are indoor-only cats. We used to leave food out all day but one of the cats tends to eat it all and gain weight. So, we now feed the cats 2 times each day. When we had the dogs, I'd walk them twice a day. We also fed them twice a day.

Information Gil N. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, likes certain games, or has certain behaviors I should know about. Does your dog have any dietary restrictions? Do you feed your dog specific treats?

A typical day

I love exploring the various dog parks in Suffolk County. I'll play games with your dogs and give them a good physical and mental workout.

Availability

I've worked from home for over 20 years, which has allowed me to be available for my family and pets. Presently, I live with 3 cats, and 2 humans. The cats: B**** is an 8-year-old Norwegian Forest Cat who we rescued from under a house in the Arizona desert. She has a skin condition and gets 3-4 baths each week to keep her skin cool and calm. We keep her on a strict diet. Y*** and P**** are also "rescues" from Arizona. We've had them for 6 years. We have them on a healthy diet, as well. Right before COVID and lockdown hit last year, we lost our 15-year-old Hound mix. Y*** was 15-years-old and was a cancer survivor. I took him on a few-mile walk every morning and fenced in our backyard so he could spend time outside during nice weather.
