I ❤ all 4 legged creatures!
Pet care experience
The 33 yrs of experience I have taking care of animals is personal but I adore dogs and cats (not to mention hedgehogs, shout out to my Jefferson who by the way is very much a hedgehog and not a cat lol. It just was only giving me the option to choose cat or dog for my pet but I def don't have a cat just FYI. I have always dreamed of caring for animals professionally and so far absolutely love doing so!
Reviews
Gigi is a perfect sitter. She is very responsible and informative. Sugar will love to go back her place again.
Gigi is kind, respectful, tidy and great with my pets. I have three of them which can be a handful to look after but she did a great job at looking after them while I was on a business trip. They all seemed to like her, and when I returned she kept my place very tidy and clean. I will arrange a weekly walking service with her in the future so the puppy can let out energy throughout the day. It was a pleasure working with her!
I'm absolutely thrilled to write this review for Gigi, our phenomenal dog sitter! This is the second time I've entrusted her with Barry, and once again, she exceeded all expectations. Her care and attention to detail are unmatched. Barry absolutely adores her, which speaks volumes. Gigi goes above and beyond to ensure Barry's happiness and safety, sending me updates and photos regularly, which puts my mind at ease. Her genuine love for animals shines through in everything she does. I'm so grateful to have found her and will undoubtedly be coming back again and again. Thank you, Gigi, for being so amazing!
Gigi was amazing! Bella had the best time with her and i will be using her going forward. Very responsive and kept me updated the whole time i was away which made me feel very comfortable. You can tell she really cares about animals and gave Bella lots of attention and love ❤️

Any animal who boards with me will have my undivided attention. Also, there is a dog park near me I will take your dog to daily. And to anyone concerned about there being any sort of negative interaction between your pet and my hedgehog, please don't worry. Hedgehogs are nocturnal so he stays in his cage sleeping all day. So far it has not been an issue at all with any of the dogs I've boarded (including one VERY curious & energetic puppy lol).

Information Gigi R. would like to know about your pet
From time to time when I am boarding a dog I may take on a dog walking client and/or have a dog for doggy day care just for the day (I will never have more than one dog stay the night at a time unless they're from the same family). If you are boarding your dog with me and this is something you're not comfortable with for any reason (like your dog does not get along well with other dogs for instance) please just let me know ahead of time. When I board a dog my loyalty will be to them first and foremost so I don't ever want to put them in a situation which will not be safe or enjoyable for them. Also, I noticed on my profile it says dogs are not allowed on the furniture and I'm not sure why because I didn't write that but I can't figure out how to change it. In all honesty, that was initially going to be my rule but that quickly went out the window my first day on the job when I was caring for both the puppy I mentioned earlier and another older dog. The puppy was desperate to play with the older dog but the older dog wasn't having it so the puppy just barked incessantly at her & the only way I could get her to settle down was to let both of them on the couch with me. Since then I've been letting the dogs on the furniture for the most part and even letting them sleep with me. I just feel like they're already nervous being in a new environment and it seems to calm them down and make them feel safer (also I'm a big softie when it comes to animals lol). However, I always ask the owner if the dog is allowed on the furniture in their homes first. One family whose dog I cared for recently told me that he was not allowed on the furniture at home so I didn't let him on the furniture in my apartment because I wanted to give him consistency. So basically it's on a case by case basis depending on whatever your dog is used to. Last but not least, I know different animals have different needs and I want to be able to provide your pet with whatever they need to be happy & healthy. For instance with the dog I'm currently boarding, I was told in advance that he has separation anxiety and I would need to stay with him at all times so that's exactly what I've been doing. I actually found these great channels on YouTube that have music to help dogs with separation anxiety! So I've been playing it for him periodically and every night before bed to help him wind down. Last but not least, although his owner didn't ask me to give him a bath, we got caught out in the rain yesterday and he is a bernadoodle who has pretty long fur so he was just absolutely filthy when we got home. I'd never given a dog a bath before either but I have to say, not to toot my own horn, but I think it actually went pretty well and now he looks & smells so much cleaner. So again I'm just giving these examples to say if you have any special requests for your dogs in advance, please don't hesitate to ask or tell me. I will do my absolute best to accommodate your pet's needs so that they have the best experience possible staying with me.
A typical day
I take the dogs I care for on 3-4 walks per day and as stated above at least one of those walks is always to the dog park in my neighborhood. It's about a 15 minute walk from me so a nice 30 minute walk there and back & I will almost always keep them there until they've at least had some sort of social interaction playing with another dog or dogs. Other than that I always make it a point to play with them frequently myself when we're inside to keep them stimulated and of course, give them lots of love!
