Pet care experience
Besides having multiple pets for the past 35 years, I cat sit professionally for a cats-only company, and I have two regular clients for whom I walk dogs, including a nightly dog I’ve had for seven months. It’s the season when many people leave, however, and I’d love to find some year-around residents who would appreciate my experience and professionalism. I can give medications, and I’m well versed in keeping clients updated with daily photos and information (if requested).

Gigi is the very definition of a true champion for animals. The care and respect she gives to the dogs/cats and owners she works with is second to none, she really goes above and beyond. In addition to her catsitting and dogwalking in the West Palm Beach area, she also works with local rescue organizations helping them TNR, has a nightly round of ferals that she feeds, and is at Peggy Adams numerous times a week, dropping off stray rescues she has found who need safe adoptive homes. -- there is nothing she wouldn't do to save a dog or cat from a life of misery, or help an animal in distress . She has found her calling in working with cats and dogs, and I couldn't recommend her more highly to be a catsitter/dogwalker above reproach.

I walk my own dogs and client’s dogs for at least 20 minutes, although in the summer that may be dangerous during mid day. I’d be more than willing to play with your dogs inside in the a/c as well, to get them exercise without risk of overheating. I’m very accustomed to cats, having a dozen rescue felines in my house. I can groom them, medicate, and play with them — you name it!

I think it’s important to know if the dog is generally dog friendly, or if he tends to show aggression or agitation. The same can be said for children — some dogs are nervous around kids. It’s helpful to know if he prefers fast-moving walks or is a frequent stop-and-sniff type. Basically I like to get a rundown and a feel for the individual dog before our first walk.
A typical day
The client will tell me the usual route for their dog’s walk and if there are other options nearby. If the client is comfortable with us exploring new spots, I’m up for that. In a securely fenced area I would be happy to throw a ball or other toy, or play tug-o-war with a rope toy. If it’s a dog who loves to be brushed or just petted quietly, I can certainly accommodate him/her as well.

Availability
Pet care — my own and for clients — takes up much of my days already. I have two dogs I walk twice a day, multiple house cats, and I feed (and TNVR) feral cats each afternoon. Caring for pets not my own fits in perfectly.
