Pet care experience

My world revolves around Doggos!

Hi! My name is Gianna. I have over 6 years of experience with animals and started working at a dog daycare at the age of 15. Before that, I would regularly sit for my friends, family, and neighbors pets when they were out of town. After working in the pet industry I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with animals. I have since gone onto doing structured dog sitting and am gaining experience on balanced dog training full time! I have 10 amazing doggos that I’ve trained mostly myself or with the help of some amazing trainers that have taught me a lot about animal behavior and all the little in between an along the way. I have 1 successful service dog of my own and my newest service puppy in training. I also love foster dogs to train and get adopted whenever I can! I love dogs of all breeds and all sizes and can work with many temperaments. I keep my dogs as well as any daycare and boarding dogs on a routine and keep it very structured. This helps prevent over stimulation, and helps especially with nervous dogs. For boarding dogs I do require them to be crate trained and house trained with the exception of puppies but it will need to be something I can work on them with while they are here. Daycare dogs also must be house trained and kennel or pen trained, but will make exceptions in VERY certain situations, also with the exception of young puppies. As an overprotective dog mom myself I made it a priority to take a pet 1st aid safety + CPR class to ensure that I have the proper safety measures in place to take the best care of your pup in the rare case of an emergency. In an emergency where your dog needs medical attention, they will be taken to the closest available emergency vet, unless you have a different vet you would like your pet to receive care at. Owner contact will always be attempted first. I am able to administer medications and provide accommodations for pets with special needs. Any pup that is in my care will be loved and treated like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies!

Gianna was great. Her structured approach is why I went with her. I felt comfortable with her, she answered all my paranoid questions with good, quick responses and she provided great updates. The dogs have slept the last two days since being home so I know they had a good time. I will definitely use her again.

Safety, trust & environment

I have 10 pups of my own who are my entire world. I treat them like my babies, and they are absolutely spoiled. When I your dog is in my care that will be no different. I keep my dogs on a routine and keep a very structured environment for any daycare or boarding dogs as well. This helps maintain a calm environment and helps prevent dogs from becoming overstimulated, nervous, or stressed. Dogs are also supervised 24/7 and never left alone outdoors. They are monitored via camera when they are kenneled. I am never gone from my home for more than 3 hours at a time. My backyard has been completely set up for the safety of your pup! I have 3 different play yards to keep small play groups and divide the dogs by size and temperament. If your pet is here for boarding or Daycare during their meal time they will be required to rest for 1 hour after eating. This is to prevent bloat and prevent them from getting sick. Dogs have 24/7 access to clean filtered water in their kennels unless noted by owner to pickup at certain time. Every dog has their own bowl. We don’t do shared bowls here to prevent any sickness! Dogs get clean bowls daily for food and water so no need to bring any! Everything is regularly sanitized including my yard with dog specific and dog safe cleaning products to ensure a cleanly environment. Each kennel is also sanitized between dogs. The Cleanliness of my home and every pups safety is the top priority for me.

Pets

A typical day

Daycare and boarding dogs will be provided a safe indoor and outdoor play space. I have kiddy pools that I fill in the warmer months with lots of fun outdoor toys and balls to play fetch or tug with. We typically spend our mornings outdoors in fresh air playing before breakfast. After their breakfast and rest they will have indoor playtime with access to a doggy run for potty breaks. Depending on the weather our afternoon routine may look a little bit different. If you request a walk for your dog that will be done as well as long as weather permits. I will not walk a dog in unsafe conditions such as extreme heat. I do have dog specific treadmills as an alternative for those super hot days and am happy to fulfill your pups exercise needs with that. During the day they will have scheduled crate and rotate breaks. Each pup will have scheduled playtime in the play yard with their group, once their time is done they can then enjoy a filled kong or treat provided by me or you are allowed to provide your dog a snack/chew as well during their rest time. If you prefer your dog does not have a treat that is totally fine as well. Schedule is the same for all dogs!! Puppies are on a slightly different schedule to accommodate potty needs and feeding times. For Drop ins I follow exactly what the client needs me to do with their pup to get their energy out and meet their needs. Whether it’s play time, just a feeding, medications, a walk (in appropriate weather), all of the above, etc! Im there to prioritize their health, safety, and happiness!
