I have a 2 year old Golden Retriever of my own. My partner has had family dogs (cocker spaniels and Irish water spaniels) her whole life! Between us we have great experience in looking after active spaniels and large breeds like Goldens.

George & Bella looked after our 6 month pup, Mac, so well! George sent updates a few times a day, including pictures and videos, which was so reassuring. I have a fenced back garden with grass. There is a side gate that is locked. As we work from home they can have regular time outside. We like to do two walks a day ( a shorter one and a longer one) however this is heat dependant. As the weather gets hotter we will be doing early morning and late evening walks.

Please let us know if your dog has any special requirements ahead of time. Are they allergic to certain foods and can they be let off lead? We have tailored food for our dog so do you have a certain brand of food for your dog?
A typical day
On a work day, I will wake up and give the dogs a big walk in the morning. We have multiple fields on our doorstep so your dog will get great exercise as well as lots of new sniffs!! While I work I allow the dogs free roam of the house including a sitting room and my office but not kitchen or bedrooms. I have very regular breaks so can easily let dogs out for toilet breaks in our private fenced garden. After work I would do another shorter walk (only 20 mins or so) and then usually relax in the evenings and play games of tug of war and chasing balls around in the garden! On the weekend, we like to do various activities such as going to beaches like Saunton sands. While it is hot, we like to go to woods and forests around Exeter and Dartmoor that have lots of shade and running water. Our dog loves to run in the forests and the rivers!! Otherwise we spend time in our garden playing with our dogs.

I work full time from home Monday - Friday. Therefore, I would be able to dog sit any day of the week and will mean that your dog is not left alone! I get very regular breaks so can let dogs out into our garden every couple hours. At the weekend, my partner and I go to beaches or walks on Dartmoor (depending on the heat).
