Pet care experience
I love dogs of all sizes and have had multiple large dogs growing up. My first dog growing up was an Akita named Apollo who helped to raise me :) After his death in the late 2000’s, my family adopted another Akita whom we named sunshine. She was extremely unhealthy and hurt when we received her but we slowly raised her back to health and were able to give her a loving home. We also adopted a golden retriever around that time, in addition to a Himalayan cat, named Zeke, and a stray Siamese. I’ve also raised parakeets, rabbits, and chickens over the last 10 years. Our current dog is a 7 year old adorable Akita named Bishop and we have just gotten a new Akita Puppy named joy who is 4 months old. (If you couldn’t tell by now my family loves akitas 😄) From raising large dogs like Akitas, I understand the importance of maintaining boundaries with dogs, respecting their space, and maintaining a calm composure when working with them. This is my second booking with Geoffrey. I booked Geoffrey to stay overnight with my boys for 4 1/2 days while I was out of town at a conference. He is dog lover and my greyhound and whippet both really like him a lot. Lots of updates and pictures/videos of the boys playing in the yard which is very cool. He is courteous and takes really good care of my boys. If you need someone to watch your dogs while you’re away, Geoffrey is the one to book. I highly recommend him and will definitely book again next time I’m going out of town.
Geoffrey was fantastic! He came by and met me and the dogs before I left town and took a lot of extra care to make sure he could continue their normal routine which was great. He’s very experienced with dogs and mine took to him immediately. He sent updates and videos of them running and playing in the yard which was awesome. I would highly recommend choosing Geoffrey to watch your pet and will definitely book him again.
Did a great job. Kept me up to date and came home to two happy and well taken care of pups. Kind and easy to communicate with.
Geoffrey kept my spoiled pup at my home for 4 nights. Alex was a stray and he had some issues. He is better now but he is extremely attached to me. Geoffrey came to the house and met Alex and me. Alex liked him immediately. I left early on Friday and let him know when I left. He responded and told me he was on his way to see Alex. I cannot express how professional and kind Geoffrey is. I ask Geoffrey to sleep with Alex if he wanted him to and he said "no problem". He put some clothes in the dryer for me and brought my mail in. I recieved pictures and texts about how they were doing each day. Geoffrey also washed my sheets for me so when I arrived home late, I could throw them on the bed. After meeting Geoffrey, all my anxieties about leaving Alex disappeared. Alex has never been without me for the last 2 1/2 years so I was concerned. If you need someone to take care of your animal, I would definitely recommend Geoffrey. He is working on an advanced degree, so he could sit with Alex and work on his studies. Alex was great when I got home. If you are traveling for any reason and you need to leave your animals with someone so you don't have to be worried on your trip, Geoffrey is your guy. He is an outstanding young man. He is friendly, kind, patient and put up with all my instructions regarding Alex. He is experienced with animals and is confident about caring for them. He was able to give Alex his meds when he was anxious about weather. I absolutely cannot say enough about Geoffrey. This was my first time using Rover. I was having trouble finding someone to take care of him and I found Rover in a search for dog care. I will not take a trip when Geoffrey is not available to care for Alex. I am currently unable to board pets at my house, as I have a dog and want to make sure your pet is 100% comfortable at all times. However, I am happy to work with whatever specifics you need from me and will always have my phone near if you have questions or would like an update on your pet. I am also very close to my aunt, who is a veterinarian, and is my dogs personal vet. So I will always be able to reach out to her, should you have any special concerns for your pet while you are away.

Please let me know if your dog has any aggressive tendencies. I am always willing to work with a dog, however, in those special cases we will need to arrange a proper meeting and create some trust between us. Again, I would be happy to work with any of your pets extenuating circumstances. Though, those circumstances need to be explained to me upfront so we can plan for them. I have worked as a Vet Tech in the past and have experience helping animals to swallow medication.
A typical day
I love to walk around Betty Virginia Park and would love to take your pets with me there. I would also be happy to give them a bath, for a tip, and if they are comfortable with it.

Availability
I have a extremely varied schedule from week to week; so I am flexible when it comes to times that your pets need assistance. I am currently attending Louisiana Tech for my masters in business administration and this takes up most of my time. Additionally, I am a part time substitute teacher at Magnet High School. I plan on becoming a full time teacher next year once I finish my graduate degree.
