Always around and ready to play!
Pet care experience
We are a dad and daughter duo looking to spend quality time with your pup(s)! Ever since I could talk, I was telling anyone and everyone how much I loved all kinds of dogs. I grew up with two Maltese who both lived into their teenage years, and in college, I began to dog-sit and board other family's furry friends. My dad grew up with four dogs (all large breed mutts). As such, we have experience training puppies; have spent countless hours walking, bathing, grooming, and feeding adult dogs; and because of my own dogs' challenging health issues, we know the time and effort it takes to care for senior dogs and their unique needs. In addition, I am trained in dog CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver for dogs, so if an emergency arises, I can jump into action. Throughout all these experiences, we have developed the knowledge and skills necessary to take the best care of your beloved pup!
Reviews
Genny and Larry took amazing care of our dog Kodi. He got plenty of walks and playtime. They were also able to accommodate his medication and special diet. He was so happy and tired when we got him back home he napped for most of the next day. We will be repeat customers!
We are so lucky to have found Genny and Larry. They are amazing. She was treated like a princess and most importantly like their own. Their updates and pictures were so wonderful, Millie had found her match! I know this because I had to deal with Millie’s denial, sadness, withdrawals, depression, and eventually acceptance that she she is home with us (hahaha) until next time. What an amazing experience. You will not be disappointed. I’ve since booked two more weeks with them.
Thank you! For taking excellent care of my Lunna😊
I am so happy I found Genny to take care of my dog! She is super friendly, kept me informed about my dog during his stay with her and she made sure to get all the information she needed to make sure my dog was well taken care of. I could tell that my puppy’s had a great time with her because he was happy and super calm when I picked him up. I think he had a great time with Genny. It took me a while to be find the perfect dog sitter and I just did! Thanks Genny!

Your dog(s) will have free range of the back hall area of the house, as well as the fenced-in back porch. Your pup(s) do not need to be crate trained, but they need to be okay with sleeping in the back hall area on their own as we do not allow dogs in the bedrooms. For the safety of your dog(s), they will be leashed whenever we go outside.

Communication is key to ensuring a fun and safe stay for everyone involved. Before your first drop-off as a new client, please confirm that your dog is up to date on vaccinations and is free of fleas or ticks. Please also let us know ahead of time if your dog has any special feeding, walking, or medication needs. We will be happy to accommodate! We have a lot of dogs living in the neighborhood, so it is important for us to know how your dog reacts when seeing other dogs (barking, pulling on leash, unbothered, etc.). Additionally, please let us know if your dog has any significant fears (thunder, children, other dogs, etc.). If boarding, we would like to know if your dog is okay being left alone in the house for short periods of time (1-2 hours). Finally, for whichever service, boarding or doggy day care, we want to make sure your dog(s) feel right at home in our home. So, please pack their favorite toys and treats for their stay. Thank you!
A typical day
My dad is an early bird, so if your dog is the same way, he is usually up around 6:00 am and can take them out for their first walk of the day. If your dog likes to sleep in a little later, I typically start work at 8:00 am, so I will wake up around 7:15 am on weekdays to feed boarders and take them outside for a quick (~15 minute) walk around the neighborhood. Throughout the work day, we make time for plenty of indoor play and cuddles. At lunch, we will take your pup(s) out for a longer (~30 minute) walk. After work, we will take the dog(s) on their longest walk of the day (~45 minutes to an hour). If your dog is fed twice a day, we will feed them again after this walk. Then, our evenings are filled with love and attention for your dog(s). Right before bedtime, we will take boarders out on one last short walk. On weekends when we have a boarder, we will get up around 8:00 am. Weekend doggy daycare timing will depend on you, the owner. The rest of the weekend day will progress the same as a weekday: feeding, walking, and lots of playtime!

Availability
We both work from home full-time, so we will always be around to supervise and care for your dog(s). Because our roles are 100% remote, we are able to take boarders out at least four times throughout the day, and doggy day care pups will get to go out at least two times. Between these outdoor excursions, there will be plenty of opportunities for indoor play time and cuddles. If your dog(s) need to go out more often, please let us know ahead of time, and we will do our best to accommodate!
