Pet care experience
Dogs have been my best friends throughout my life. They are by your side in good times and in bad. My connection is with large dogs in particular although a Yorkie stole my heart, too! As a child, my family had a wonderful pit bull, Brandy, who was my protector. After the trauma of her loss we eventually brought home my best friend of 14 years - Rebecca Lynn, a Golden Retriever. She developed hip dysplasia at 13 as many Golden’s do. After many years and a spunky Yorkie whom we sat for regularly for a week at a time for over a year, I’d love to take this opportunity to have that joy of doggy happiness back in my life and to share that magic with my children!

The only preference for my family as far as dogs are concerned is that they be personable and not skittish. With a standard family and children - the last thing anyone would want is for anybody not to have an amazing time together. Before sitting for any dog it’s important to know their potty schedule, any sounds they don’t like or are receptive to. What commands, if any, do they respond to? Emergency phone numbers and vet contact? History of bites or eating furniture? Any vet or pet insurance? Medication or special grooming needs?
A typical day
If your fur-lady or -gentleman stays in our home, they will be a welcome guest who will (unless you say otherwise) be spoiled with pre-approved treats and hugs and cuddles. Our home area has a lot of green space for long sniffs and walks in addition to great networks of sidewalks and paths for runs or walks. No need to drive to a dog park (unless you prefer one).
