I have had three dogs in my lifetime. I have taken care of my first dog (big dog) that I have owned since he was a puppy up until his last days as a senior. He had an anal gland tumor, so I made it my priority to give him the happiest last few months of his life by taking him out to run around as well as administering pain medication as needed. My second dog (small dog) was also a puppy when I got her, and she is currently 10 years old and healthy. She has had multiple issues in her life that required administering medication such as antibiotics after dental surgery to remove a few teeth. Having a small dog has taught me certain lessons that does not necessarily match with bigger dogs such as giving them softer treats instead of hard bones to protect their teeth. My most recent dog (medium dog) is 3 years old and I've had him since he was 6 weeks old. I've taught him basic skills such as sitting, laying down and coming when called. I would like to emphasize that I am not a certified dog trainer, but I am doing this simply because I would love to fill my extra time to care for other dogs in the area! Each dog has their personality from calm and loving to hyperly energetic to pretty feisty and grumpy. No matter the personality, I have been through it!
