Gene took care of my shiba inu/beagle mix Mishka when I was on a 9 day work trip. He follows directions perfectly, is transparent, and is trustworthy. After taking care of my dog this past week, he will be my first option in a dogsitter when I travel for work. Gene routinely gave me updates while I was away. Even though it was an uneventful week, he would send me pictures of Mishka the same way a dogwalker at any agency does. These things definitely give me peace of mind. During this stint, it turned out that I had given Gene too little food, and he was proactive in asking me what to get Mishka and made sure that there was no gap between her meals. Mishka has allergies, and he made sure she got her medication every morning. He also has a living situation that is ideal for dogs. He has a fenced in yard and there are 2 doors and a gate that a dog has to go through in order to enter/exit the home. This is great for my dog since not only does she require a significant amount of exercise, but she is a huge flight risk and loves to run with reckless abandon. I am a stress case, but I'm lucky to have Gene to watch my dog when I travel for work, because my dog's safety is one less thing to worry about. I highly recommend him for anyone's dog.
