I'll help with your furbabies!

Pet care experience

I had pets most of my life up until a few years ago. As much as I want a pet, due to roommates and allergies I have to settle with playing and loving other peoples furbabies. I currently do not have a job. I drive one of the teenagers to and from work for the next 3 weeks and then I am going to have an even more open schedule. I'm nocturnal, I can normally show up with very little notice. I cannot bring pets into my home. As far as how will I care for your babies? Well, I want to know how you take care of them! Am I going to take for walks? (please have a leash and collar and I can use unless your baby is that well trained) Is there a near by pet park? Do you have a fenced yard? How will they tell me they want to go potty? Ring a bell, sit by the door, or maybe herd me to the door? Is it a set schedule? And if you want me to sit with them, how much interaction do they need? Do I need to play with this particular toy for this period of time? Do I just need to sit on the floor and let them cuddle me until they have had their fill? I can't tell you how I am going to care for your baby because I don't know what you're baby needs. They are all special. I would like to point out that if your dog is a jumper, I'm going to teach it to not jump, at least on me. Its quick and painless, basically, catch and lightly hold the dogs paw until they whine to get down. by the third time they jump and I touch the paw its a whine and POOF no more jumping :D Now if you do has no qualms standing on its hind legs, there is another thing. When the dogs calmly walk up to me I give them LOTS of overly exaggerated positive attention. I trained both of my ex's over hyper dogs the first time I visited by doing that. The second one saw that I was loving on it and also calmly walked up to me and so I loved on it. Every visit has been the same, the dogs take turns walking up calmly to me. I would like to point out, that when I meet your baby, I will ask that you are there so they can see me make contact with you, and then I squat down and hold out my hand, inviting them to come to me. Unless it is an emergency I will not force myself on an animal. I want them to accept me. Cats are a little different, I can just sit in the room and wait for them to come... I've made friends with feral cats who trust no one. I can do the sit down trick with dogs as well, if you think that is a better option. It's your baby, you know best!

Genavieve has always been good with animals. She seems to form an instant bond with them. When she met our adopted 6 month old excitable puppy, she was easily able to get him to calm down and walk to her. I can depend on her to take care of our pets.

Information Genavieve R. would like to know about your pet

I absolutely want to know any special needs that might come up before hand so I can be ready for them. If your baby is use to a set schedule, I would like a copy of it, even stuff I'm very likely not going to worry about in case of emergencies. Also any training that your baby has, like hand signals or words for them to do tricks. While they are proven to easily be bilingual, everybody using the same thing just makes life easier on them.

A typical day

*When I leave I am going to make a video of locking and making sure the door(s) is *firmly* shut. Some lessons you learn the hard way. (Thankfully there was a gate) and send it to you when I leave so you have a time stamp. I dont know what a typical day with your baby would look like because I don't know your baby! Do they want to go on walks? Do they want to play tug-a-war? Fetch? Do they just want to cuddle all day? I'm very flexible and want to make your baby happy l!
