Pet care experience
I am an experienced pet owner and have cared for animals such as guinea-pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, donkeys, horses and birds of prey over the last 25 years. I have also previously worked at two well known animal rescue sanctuaries. I can provide a loving home away from home for your pet(s) or a drop in visit to your own home. My whole family are animal lovers, my two daughters are used to being around different kinds of animals and understand the care, attention and respect that they deserve. Currently we have living with us; two mini-lop bunnies called Basil and Berry and a Cocker Spaniel called Monty, all rescues that are now firmly part of our family.

Lovely family to leave my dog with. Gemma is very welcoming, caring and organised with her care arrangements. I felt comfortable to leave my puppy for a few days. Updates were regular and informative with pictures of walks and game time. Will definitely recommend and will be going back to see Gemma again. Thank you so much.

Bit if a late review but Gemma was very professional but also relax with oswald, he had a great time and I will definitely be letting oswald stay with Gemma again
Five star home ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gemma is a well experienced and very responsible owner herself and I feel like Mimo became part of Gemma’s family for a couple of days. Lots of updates and pictures throughout Mimo’s stay. If the situation repeats itself I will happily book again.

I care for your pet(s) as if they were my own and am happy to send regular updates with pictures to put your mind at ease. I have ample indoor space to care for your pet(s) at my home, an enclosed walled garden and plenty of walking routes and fields right on our doorstep. I generally only care for pets from one household at a time in my home - I assess this on a case by case basis. I am happy to give oral medication, follow all instructions regarding dietary requirements and behavioural traits with the upmost care and continue any areas of training.

A typical day
Our dog Monty is a very energetic pup! He loves to run, so he walks (runs) us at least twice a day! We spend time playing throughout the day with activities that encourage mental stimulation, sniffing especially stimulates and exercises the brain which is just as important as physical exercise. There are also lots of cuddles to be had!

Availability
When caring for your pet(s) in my home I am with them to ensure that they are receiving the care and attention that they need and deserve. They are not left for long periods by themselves and are never left unattended with children or other animals with which they do not usually reside.
