Pet care experience
I've had animals around me my whole life. I grew up with labradors, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. So a wealth of pet care experience. I've recently completed a dog first aid course. I love animals and love being out in nature, walking my dog.

Gemma has looked after our 3 cats when needed for 8 years, and we always hope she is available when we are away. It isn't just job for Gemma, she genuinely cares for our cats, doesn't just turn up, feed them and leave. She has taken the time to learn their different personalities and knows how best to interact with each cat, helping to minimise their stress. Gemma has always been willing to adapt to their changing needs as they have grown older. We went away for 3 weeks last year on holiday, and I don't think we would have been comfortable leaving the cats for that length of time without feeling 100% confident they were in the best possible hands with Gemma.
Gemma is a very reliable and caring dog walker. It was clear from the beginning how much she loves animals and how much my dog enjoyed her company. She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs behaviour and a very friendly, trustworthy person. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other pet owners.

I have a fully fenced back garden with a secure gate. I can visit pets at home, to let them out, feed or walk them as required and generally offer them some company if they are on their own during the day.

Let me know what your dog likes/doesn't like. Are they friendly with other dogs. Are they good off lead? How good is their recall. What treats do they prefer? Any other quirks about their general behaviour which would be useful to know.
A typical day
I will take dogs for long or short walks, varying the location of the walk as needed for their requirements. If they prefer open space to chase a ball or through woods to enjoy all the different smells. If visiting them at home, I can throw a ball or frisbee in the garden, play tug of war depending on your dogs preference.

Availability
I am a full time Mum so will work pet care and walking around school run times. I would be available between 9am and 3pm on most days. I could possibly do after 3 on certain days with prior arrangement. I could also potentially do pet visits at weekends, if given enough notice.
