I've always had pets, currently I have a collie and three cats. My first job was feeding the neighbour's cat while they were away! My family have dogs too, so several times a year I have them staying with me, or we go and visit them. My dog is sociable and friendly - he tends to mirror the behaviour of other dogs, so if your dog wants to play constantly I will have to intervene to give them a rest - but if your dog wants to go to sleep in the corner, Bob is fine with that.

Gem visited our elderly cat and gave him food and cuddles. His litter tray was emptied etc. Gem sent photos of Monkey ( the cat) looking well and happy which gave us reassurance and peace of mind while we were away for a few days. I would book Gem again and recommend her to anyone.
My puppy Luna had lots of fun and couldn’t wait to go and play!
Floki absolutely loved gem and seemed to have enjoyed his walk from the pictures. Can't wait to use you again!!

The more you tell me about your pet's preferences, the more I can accommodate them. I'm happy to bring my dog as a playmate if you're also happy with that - he's not a big strong dog, he's tall and lean, neutered and very easy-going and sociable. I have harnesses and long leads etc, so let me know if you're happy for me to use them to give your dog a bit more freedom or the opportunity to play or chase a ball, whilst staying safe on a lead.

Let me know about your dog's favourite things to do, and anything that makes them nervous. How do they feel about other dogs? Cats? People? Traffic? Do they enjoy their food? Are they allowed treats? Would they enjoy a nice long walk or are they more of a couch potato? Do they know any commands? Would you like me to work on anything specific?
A typical day
If it's just a drop-in I will see to your pet's needs (any food/water/toilet requirements) and then interact with them to break up their day - depending on the outside space and the weather, maybe play with a ball or work on some commands. A bit of a fuss is essential of course! Generally I will focus on building a relationship with your pet, so that I'm not just a person who turns up to open the door for them. I love a meandering walk exploring footpaths - I'm a nerd so I have a couple of apps to find good walking routes wherever I find myself.

Availability
I often work from home, and my hours are flexible - this means I can accommodate most requests, with enough notice. Everyone seems to want lunchtime drop-ins though, and I can only be in one place at a time. Book well in advance. :-)
