These will only be around my first few months so let’s chat soon! Hi! My name is Gavin, I am 28 years old and conquering life with my beautiful wife and our 2 year old whippet Meeko. I currently have the opportunity to be working from home and would love to help take care of your special pup! I am extremely calm and even tempered, providing a balanced and structured environment for your family member. We allow Meeko on our furniture (as he has almost 0 body fat), in our bed and typically take him on 2-3 walks every day. Our weekends typically include hikes and trips around town with plenty of socializing. Above all else I will honor your rules and structure the day how you see best fit to provide consistency to your dog’s day. We invest a lot of time into Meeko’s training and know that consistency is crucial to avoid confusing your dog and putting them in an uncomfortable situation. If you plan on doing day care or overnight boarding I will only take your dog for that day (plus Meeko of course), I want to make sure to dedicate the focus necessary for your comfort. A few other “rules” to consider with me: - Your dog will not be left alone while staying with me and although crate training is not required I can gladly use a crate if you prefer. - All dogs must be house trained as I am in an apartment. -Dogs must be dog friendly to ensure everyone has a good time. -If you are requesting a dog walk or check-in please let me know your preference on having Meeko with me, he loves exercise and would gladly tag along but he can stay home if you prefer. -For boarding and day care I require a meet and greet ahead of time. I can meet you and your dog out front of our apartment, introduce Meeko, and do a short walk down the street to have a structured introduction and get a vibe for everyone’s energy. Then we can go in and show you around our apartment, let the pups check out their vacation home, and make sure everyone enjoys themselves!
