I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life, and just recently started caring for a cat! My family has relied on me to take care of our pets since I was 10, and it’s never once felt like a chore. Animals are so so so special, and I form such close bonds with every pet (my own and my friends’) I’ve spent time with throughout my life. I hope I can provide comfort and a human pal for your pet as well!!🐶❤️😸 I care for the dogs and cats in our home daily, and I spend time with them out of emotional necessity and the friendship I have found in them. Loving my pets is a gift. When I visit a client’s home to care for their animal, I typically go to see the pet and let them smell me first. If the pet hides (typical of cats), I leave them in peace so they can meet me on their own terms. With dogs - once we’ve established that I’m present, I will let them outside (if there is a backyard) while I take care of feeding and any other jobs mentioned. Then, I go back outside and play with the pup for a while (fun & love are just as essential to a pet’s routine as food and bathroom breaks) before bringing them back inside With cats - once we’ve established that I’m present, I begin taking care of feeding, cleaning out the litter box, and any other jobs mentioned. Then, if the kitty isn’t shy, I will pet and/or play with them depending on their personality.
