Pet care experience
I was raised in a family where pets were always present and loved. Dogs and cats were the standard, but we also had a parrot and others [even a skunk - "Mr. Sniffy"]). Our kids have now moved away, but all have their own pets. We are believers in the philosophy that pets are good for kids. We have a large, fenced yard and a basement that would be comfortable for any pet. At least one of us is home most of the time. We would care for your pet, perhaps even better than if he was our own. We recently lost our little dog and miss his companionship. Watching your dog would be a pleasure, and would meet our need as well as his/hers!

Barbara and Gary were wonderful! Mrs. Wigglesworth was a bit of a tough case as she’s not been away from me and is very attached to me and her return. She was scared the first night and they kept coaxing her to join them, they even changed their sleeping arrangements so she was comfortable and felt secure. They sent pics and updates over the week, taking her for walks and giving her plenty of sunshine and playtime. When I picked her up, I could see she felt safe and happy with them. She’s my absolute sweetheart so I was so happy that they really loved on her. Thank you!

Where does the dog normally sleep (in his/her owner's bed, in a kennel, etc.)? What are the dog's habits, routines, etc.? Also, housebroken is essential for us.
A typical day
Our neighborhood is suitable for walks, if walks are something that the owner desires. Otherwise, most dogs seem to enjoy our fenced back yard. That in itself provides quite a bit of exercise.

There are three in our household, and at least one of us is home almost all of the time. We also carefully monitor their eating and drinking on a daily basis.
