Pet care experience
My family rescued dogs for my entire childhood, sparking my love for dogs. I ended up studying dog-training programs in prisons for my PhD! As part of this project and raising my own dogs, I have studied small animal husbandry and dog-training skills. I currently volunteer with Paws Up, a local animal therapy organization. I have experience training dogs to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and have studied animal behavior. I believe in positive reinforcement, no force training. I know how stressful it is to find good quality care for your pets when you go out of town or have a busy work days. I would love to help you and your pooches out! **While I am happy to care for dogs of all sizes and ages, unaltered pets are not accepted at this time.**

Barbara did a fantastic job with our three small dogs. She communicated with me the whole time about what my pups were up to, and followed all instructions to a T. She was respectful to our home, and most importantly, caring to our dogs. Our dogs were happy to see us when we got home, but seemed stress free and not at all bothered by our absence. I think the love and respect she showed our dogs was the reason for that! It was clear that she went above and beyond to care for our babies and keep things as regular as possible for everyone during our absence. I feel very blessed to have found a go-to sitter in Corpus! Barbara has grown up with dogs from the day she was born. Barbara and her family consider our dogs as family members. She has great concern for the well-being of her own dogs and she would be the same with anyone's dog. Barbara is a trustworthy, caring, loving person and I highly recommend her. In fact, her doctoral thesis involved the training of dogs. She is a dog lover.
Barbara is not only an amazing dog mom but a pet lover all around! She is perfect with dogs and is the most attentive and caring person I know!
