I love your dog!!
Pet care experience
Having a new caregiver can be exciting, confusing and maybe even a little stressful. This is why I take extra care in getting to know your pup. Building a strong foundation of trust is key in ensuring the safety, well-being and happiness of your pet!! I’m Gao (rhymes with wow 🤩 ) and I’ve been pet sitting for over 20 years. I have experience as a kennel attendant, groomer, vet tech, dog trainer and I went to school to be a veterinarian, but finished as a psychology major 🤷♀️ I foster with Heart of a Border Collie Rescue and volunteer with Lost K9 helping reunite lost dogs with their families. I also educate fellow dog owners in obedience training, leash training, and behavioral training including, but not limited to dog aggression, food aggression, anxiety and separation. My relevant role models are Victoria Stilwel and Cesar Milan (🤌 ksss) 😎 I’ve successfully completed training including but not limited to: canine CPR, poison control, toxicology, zoonotic illnesses, parasitology and common symptoms, and blood borne pathogens. I’ve studied canine behavior as a part of my education and personal interest.
Reviews
Gao cared for my newly adopted pitty during the blizzard of January 2023. My dog is very high energy. Not only did she engage in long play sessions with my dog to tire her out, she helped with mental stimulation by teaching my dog new tricks and playing mental games. I feel like I got a vacation while my dog was trained by her new best friend! She also traveled to and from my house with reliability during a major blizzard, shoveled, and navigated by steep driveway with ease. She sent videos and pictures every day of my dog and it’s clear my dog was well loved and enjoyed her time with Gao. I highly recommend Gao!!!
Gao was great with Lexie. She even got a bath before coming back home!
Gao house sitted for us for 3 nights. She took care of our Doberman mix, we weren’t sure about having a house sitter at first, but Gao provided peace of mind and was always reachable.
Very convenient service keeping our dogs at home while we were gone, Gao is excellent to work with . Communicates fast and friendly . We received daily up dates every morning .

Safety, trust & environment
As a family orientated individual and homeowner, I understand the level of trust it takes to allow someone into your home. As a part of ensuring the safety and well-being of your pet and home, I keep a daily log which includes clock in and out times, potty breaks and results, activity for the day, feeding times and quantity your pet ate (all, some, none), chores completed and much more. I pride myself on details and excellent service.

Information Gao V. would like to know about your pet
How does your pet behave around other dogs? How does your pet behave around people? Is your pet leash trained? Does your pet have any preexisting conditions that may limit mobility (i.e. neurological, limping, atypical gait, etc.) Does your pet have a history of bolting or running away? Typically, does your pet prefer to be left alone or loved on? Does your pet require medication? How does your pet communicate with you? What does your pet do for mental and physical exercise?
A typical day
On a typical day we would go outside and do our potty thing, then go eat breakfast. After breakfast, we go on our walk and/or play ball and then go home and rest. If pup is tuckered out enough, I might be able to clip pup’s nails :) lunch time rolls around so we have snacks and mental stimulation tricks!! I enjoy teaching leave it, off, place, stay, and of course sit :)

Availability
For Overnight House Sitting, I’m available from 5:00PM-9:00AM. Ideally, I would arrive between 5pm-6pm, tend to potty routine, dinner, go for a walk if applicable, hang out with your pet while I work, maintain cleanliness in your home with light cleaning, another potty break before bedtime, and then again in the morning followed by breakfast and one last potty break/exercise time before I leave at 9:00AM. If you are interested in House Sitting Services, please provide clear expectations on your pet’s routine (i.e. walks, feedings, potty, light cleaning, kenneled or not, etc).
