I was born into a family with pets: four dogs, birds, and a cat. From the get-go, my brother and I were charged with caring for them, from walking and bathing the dogs to cleaning the litter box and bird cage. Until moving to the city two years ago, I was never without a dog -- chocolate labs (three in all), an airedale terrier, and a bull terrier -- and while I can't yet adopt one, I spend my every walk in the morning seeing others' dogs and wishing I had my own to walk with, play, train, and care for. Until that day comes, I would like to offer my services -- and love for all animals, but dogs and cats in particular -- to neighborhood residents whenever they might need a hand. I'm patient and loving with pets (we all have "accidents" or make mistakes!) and love the idea of giving them companionship, affection, and shelter when their regular owners might be out of town or unavailable for a period. COVID-19 Protocol: I live alone and limit my contact to one friend who is tested three times a week. I, too, get tested once a week as a general precaution. My only exposure to others comes in weekly grocery store trips, but I wear not one but two masks in an effort to stay as protected as possible. In caring for your pet, I aspire to maintain not only my own comfort in safety from the virus, but yours as well, and am open and happy to discussing policies and actions that I can take to ensure that you feel your pet is in a COVID-safe home and environment.
