Small Dog Loving Family
Pet care experience
We are an active, animal-loving family! When your dog stays with us, they will get beach and trail walks, playtime in our fenced yard, and lots of love and attention. We have taken care of our own dogs and cats for decades, and have both been around them since we were children. We also have a 7-year-old daughter who has been raised around dogs since she was born. She loves them and is gentle and kind. Our dog Selkie is very well socialized and gets along with every dog she meets. Through the years, we have cared for many dogs and cats and other animals belonging to family and friends. We have also had great relationships with dog sitters who cared for our own pups, and we know that it can be nerve-wracking to leave your pet in the care of others, but that it can also be a really fun and positive experience for them.

Gael and Bridget were amazing with Penny! She had a great weekend frolicking on the beach and playing with Selkie. We received daily updates with pictures and videos which helped make us feel comfortable leaving our pup with a new family. We feel very lucky we found them and would absolutely love to have her stay again!

Gael and Bridget were great!! They took a last minute request and gave my dog a fabulous time. It was my first time using Rover and I could not have been happier or felt any better about leaving my dog with someone! Lovely family! Highly, highly recommend!!!
Gael and Bridget were great taking care of Lola. Along with their daughter, Gael and Bridget provided a warm welcoming and loving home for Lola's stay. Lola also loved playing with their dog Selkie at the house, fenced in backyard and nearby beach! We highly recommend Gael and Bridget!

Safety and security are a priority, and we are careful about traffic, unknown dogs and other hazards. We live on a quiet dead-end street and our backyard is securely fenced. We work from home, so we can keep a close eye on the pups. Our own dog is a very playful and friendly 18-pound mystery doodle, is well accustomed to all dogs, and loves company. She is one year old and is spayed. Because we have a small child and a small dog, we can only host dogs that are known to be good with children and other dogs.

We are interested in small dogs at this time (30lbs and under), as we have a small child and a small dog. We aren't able to host that is known to bite or be aggressive toward children or dogs. Also, unless your dog is a puppy, we ask that they be housebroken and treated for fleas/ticks in the appropriate months.
A typical day
We are lucky to live very close to a beach and near many trails, so we take them for lots of fun walks (and swims if they like the water). We play in the house and back yard with toys (fetch, tug, etc). We also give them lots of love and attention. And Selkie, our dog, is always up for playing with other dogs.

Availability
We both work from home and live close to a great dog beach and many trails. We are always with our own dog, and our flexible schedules let us tend to any dog's needs as they arise. Our dog Selkie loves to have visitors.
