♥️ For Rescue Animals

Pet care experience

Note to previous clients: If you would like to book with me again but my calendar says I’m unavailable for the dates you’re requesting please reach out to me and I’ll see if I can make some extra spots in my calendar. I love taking care of my regulars! Since birth I have loved and been raised with animals. We used to joke growing up that our house was a neighborhood "zoo." From cats and dogs to chinchillas and snakes there wasn't a single furry or scaled thing we turned away as a pet. I now have 4 cats of my own and a leopard gecko who is my husband's beloved 4th grade class pet. I regularly pet sit for my parents, who have a senior Australian shepherd and two cats, as well as a family friend who has a very voluptuous and sassy siamese. I have been actively involved in the cat rescue community since 2016 and started my own non-profit, Tabby Nation Cat Rescue, in May 2020. We have since rescued more than 150 cats and kittens, cared for their illnesses, patched them up and found them loving forever homes. For this animal lover it really is a dream come true.

My first time using Rover and I’m happy to say I came home to happy kitties. Gaby took the best of care for all 4 of my fur babies. She was consistent and on time with her visits and always left me a lovely review of what went on during her visit. Gaby’s the best!

Gaby took amazing care of my two cats and made it much easier to be away from them for the holidays. She posts the best updates and I love the details she provides on how they are doing. She has a lot of knowledge about animals and I appreciate the tips she gave me. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Safety, trust & environment

I have received training in Fear Free Shelter Practices for both cats and dogs and have a 17 year old assistant who can help me with nail trims, brushing and injections (vaccines and injectable medication/fluid therapy) for tricky cats when I need an extra pair of hands. I am comfortable administering medication to both cats and dogs as well as managing any medical issues that may need specialized lifestyle and diet requirements. If I have any medical or behavioral questions about your furry friend I will not hesitate to reach out to you through text or phone call, whatever is more convenient for you. You are the expert on your own pet!

Information Gaby W. would like to know about your pet

I will need to know daily routine, including feeding schedule, exercise time and frequency of potty breaks for dogs needed. I will also need to know about any medications or diet/activity restrictions your pup and kitty may require. Also knowing how long they can be left alone at a time would be helpful. Also, I would like to know what their favorite toys, treats and activities are to help keep your animals happy and stress free!

A typical day

The most experience I have is with my parents' senior pup. She is pretty low energy at this point, but struggles with anxiety, mobility issues and dementia so she requires a constant companion. I plan on taking the dogs under my care on walks as long as the pavement isn't too hot or booties are provided, as well as playing fetch in the back yard. Also, if permission is given, I would like to provide your pup with enrichment activities such as treat puzzles to keep them occupied between visits. For cats keeping a strict schedule is a must. I will play before meal times to promote the cat concept of "hunt, catch, kill, eat, groom, sleep." If your cat is low energy and not toy or food motivated I will focus on the "groom, sleep" portion of this routine.

Being a full-time cat rescuer allows me to have flexibility in my schedule to do drop in visits for other rescuers and animal lovers. Drop-In: I am able to be available 7 days a week, when given enough warning, from 8am to 10pm. I don't mind doing multiple drop-ins in a day either.
