Long Distance Walker - Join Me!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Gabi, I am a proud dog mom of a sweet rescue pup named Cashew and am looking to care for other sweet doggies. I’m a long distance walker; I’ve hiked over 3,000 miles all over the USA and am excited to have Cashew join me on my next adventures. We like to go for trail runs and hikes often. If your dog is older or isn’t as active, we also love to cuddle on the couch and watch The Secret Life of Pets! I have a spacious apartment if your pup needs to stay the night and plenty of toys we can play with! I am still working on training with Cashew and am happy to help out with your dogs’ training needs too. I welcome animals of all species and sizes. I previously had a rescue leopard gecko with 3 legs named Pleakley. I also have experience in administering insulin injections to dogs, as well as caring for a blind dog. Let’s go for a walk!

Gabi watched our two dogs (a Brittany and Vizsla) over the holiday season for 14 days. She was phenomenal. First, her response time to messages was quick. She answered any and all questions I had. Second, I know our dogs loved the many trips to the dog park with her dog Cashew. It was worth every penny we spent knowing that our dogs were getting the exercise they need. And lastly, while we were away, she texted us pictures of our pups and gave updates. Whether it's a quick weekend getaway, or a longer vacation, I highly recommend Gabi. Rain or shine, she lives an active lifestyle. When your dogs are in her hands, they are not stuck in a cage- they are either outside getting exercise or cuddling on the couch getting love.

Gabby was an amazing person. She took west out on some good runs with Cashew and they got along so well! I would definitely have Gabby watch West again!!

Gaby was great! I needed someone last minute and she was ready to help out! She did so well with my anxious dog, and I would certainly trust her with your animal. I appreciate you so much!

Gaby did such an amazing job watching our apartment while we were out of state for thanksgiving! Our dogs were shy at first, but after getting to meet Gaby, you can tell they were best friends by the next day. We didn’t know what to expect from a house sitter being this our first time using Rover, but Gaby had went above and beyond taking care of our dogs, but our whole home too. Our apartment was cleaner than we left it, & she took care of changing the batteries out of smoke detectors when they were running out to checking and changing the dogs water filter without being asked! Highly recommend for any dog or house sitting services. They’re the BEST! Great communication all the way around and loved seeing pictures of the dogs while we were away.

I have a dog who just absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He gets the hint though for those dogs that aren't up for play time. I allow dogs on all my furniture, and often have dogs sleep in my bed with me. If we are unable to go for a long hike, I usually take the dogs for short walks 3x/day around the neighborhood, and allow them to play the rest of the day indoors. I use the bedrooms to separate the dogs for meal times and they are re-integrated once meal time is over.

A typical day

We’ll play games like fetch, “go-find”, and hide-and-seek. We’ll explore the local trails and we also like to frequent some of the dog parks around town.
