Walks and play = a great day!

Pet care experience

I am a graduate student studying Neuroscience who loves animals. I work hard to ensure your pupper has a great time while you are away! Pups will get the chance to find the perfect spot to do their thing, greet other pups, socialize, and earn treats with their amazing tricks! My goal with each walk is to give your fur baby a chance to move their legs and have fun. Your pup will be pleasantly pooped by the time they come home to tell you all about their adventure! Qualifications include prior experience volunteering at the local animal shelter, where I walked, socialized, and trained pups to help them become adoption-ready. I also have experience working in a veterinary office where I interacted with stressed and nervous pups, making them feel comfortable and lessening their anxiety. All pups are treated as if they were my own but don't worry, your pup will be returned to you!

Gaby was an awesome pet sitter for my little dog- I booked last minute and was away longer than expected and she rearranged her schedule to help me out. I will definitely book her again!

Information Gaby J. would like to know about your pet

I would like to set up a meet and greet to ensure your pup and I are compatible - I want your pup to be happy! The following information is useful to know: - Are vaccinations up to date? - Is your pet spayed or neutered? - Is your pup socialized (ie. friendly with other dogs)? - Are there any medical concerns I should be aware of? - Does your dog have any allergies (for giving treats)? - Does your fur baby have any triggers (stimuli that trigger intense fearful or otherwise negative response)? For example, my own dog is fearful of fireworks and so I adjust when we walk - morning or afternoon, not evening - and am prepared in the event of a reaction. Ultimately, I want your pup to be happy, healthy, and safe. If there is any information you would like me to know, please feel free to share it with me.

A typical day

I tailor each walk to your pup's needs according to age, medical fitness, physical fitness, and comfort. Generally speaking, pups will get to explore their neighbourhoods as well as nearby parks, nature reserves, and trails. All adventures include treats (as approved by owner), at least one water break, and socialization or training time. I believe mental exercise is just as important as physical exercise and is crucial for a happy, tired pup.
