I am a special education teacher and registered behavior technician. I love animals and work regularly with training pets. I live in a single family home with a fenced yard and a chocolate labrador who adores other dogs and is playful or lazy depending on the friends that stay over. She makes friends with everyone. I do allow pets on my furniture and my home is pet friendly. I will care for your dog as if s/he were my own (cuddles, snuggles, and attention!) My teacher hours allow me to be home shortly before 4pm and get in those much needed and well-loved walks with my dog--I know yours will appreciate that too! My dog and I do frequent dog parks and dog beaches on weekends. I have no problem bringing your loved one along, if you are comfortable with that. I will send you daily photo texts of your dog enjoying their staycation, too!

Great sitter and very flexible
Higgins is a giant, rambunctious puppy, but had a great stay with Gabrielle and Kona over Thanksgiving. Not only did Higgins have a constant playmate in Kona, but he also had a human behaviorist continue working on things we were working on before his stay. I’ll be the first to admit that Higgins most likely behaved much better with Gabrielle than he ever did with us. We are grateful for Gabrielle and her hospitality, including special homemade treats she sent home with us! We look forward to having her as Higgins’ sitter again.
My dog Buddy was well taken care by Gabrielle. She was very flexible with pickup and drop off. We received pictures throughout his stay. It was evident that Gabrielle was committed to making our dog feel at home and comfortable. Good place to board your dog, especially if your staying near downtown Chicago.

A typical day
We frequent Kelvyn and Humboldt Parks. My dog is training for fly ball competitions and loves chasing balls and jumping obstacles. You can bet that your dog will get an outdoor experience if the weather permits and you will get text photos of their "staycation!" If the weather permits we might venture to a dog beach or a neighborhood walk. Rainy days will include movies at home with snuggles.
