Pet care experience
I grew up with two terrier (Westie + Scottie) dogs and was lucky enough to be one of their primary care-takers. I have also dog-sat a small senior Yorkshire Terrier who had some mobility and other physical issues (cataracts/hearing problems) for 3 months, and a few other short periods. I also have spent the day with a few of my friends' dogs. Right now, I am taking care of one cat and he is the only animal at my home right now.

My cat doesn't try to mess with dogs and he has plenty of vertical cat-space to himself, so your dog is free to roam and relax where he wants. I don't mind dogs on my furniture or bed, and dog-hair is a non-issue as well. My apartment complex has a trail that loops around and a few small fenced-in no-leash dog parks. I also live about 5 minutes away from Stoll Park a large, no-leash dog park that also has multiple other, large trails. Additionally, I'm only about a 15 minute drive away from Shawnee Mission Park, which has much more expansive trails to explore!

My goal is always to ensure your pet's mental and physical health and safety. Let me know if there is anything I can do for your dog to ease its anxiety, or things to steer clear of entirely that might agitate them or put any kind of risk to their health or peace of mind.
A typical day
In my apartment complex, there are trails and small fenced parks that I can easily access at any time to get out your dogs energy. My favourite places to visit are two parks that I live nearby. One has a large no-leash dog area where your dog can socialize and play with others, or have a wide open area to play a game of fetch with me! Another park I live close to has a ton of long trails to explore. If your dog is lower-energy, I am so game to chill on the couch and just give them all the love and attention that they deserve.

Availability
I work part-time and I am mostly completely occupied on the weekends, but on the weekdays I am generally available. The days that I am most often available are Monday-Thursday, but there is some day-time availability on the weekends that I sometimes have for drop-ins/walks/short visits.
