I am a local physical therapist so I love being active! My family has owned dogs for almost 20 years, and I have been one of the dogs main caretakers through my time as a teen and adult. My first dog lived to 16, and I was assisting in her care as a senior dog with some disabilities. Recently, I have had experience with living with and training my own puppies. My family has a 1 and 5 year old, both of whom I take on walks as often as they can tolerate due to their breed. All of my dogs have been French Bulldogs, so I have more experience with brachycephalic dogs. However, I have had experience assisting in caring for dogs of many other breeds. I have had past experience in sitting and walking dogs >50 lbs as well. Also, my love of dogs of all breeds makes me a great option as a sitter or walker for your own pup!

Gabbi is great with animals, she has a natural kindness. My rescue was afraid of most people but took to Gabbi immediately. She took care of my two large pups while I was on vacation and they absolutely love her!

I am able to walk long distances if needed to tire out your dog! I can put your dog back in the crate if that is where they stay. I will always check for your dogs food and water to be full before leaving. I will ask your policy on returning the dog back to your house and whether you’d like them to keep on their collars/harness for safety purposes.

Yes. I would like to meet the dog at least once prior to sitting to ensure they like me prior to entering your house without the owners supervision.
A typical day
We will go on walks either in the community or in the park. If in town, we will also go to the local dog park if the dog is socialized. I also have a dog that loves to play and could coordinate a play date if the owner thinks his or her dog would like that. If your dog is more inclined to stay in the house, we will also have a good time sitting on the couch or playing short term fetch and tug of war.

Availability
I work a varied schedule (three days morning to early afternoon, two days early afternoon to night) so I am available for walks at different times during the day. I work 8 hour shifts, so I can do drop in car early morning to night pending my schedule. I also do not work weekends which allows me to care for your pets if you go away for a few days!
