I am an experienced veterinary professional and responsible pet owner who will always ensure that every animal under my care is happy and healthy. I have 6 years of professional experience working with animals. I currently work remote as a Veterinary Care Specialist where I work alongside doctors and am responsible for doing tasks such as reporting changes in a pet’s behavior and health, discussing patient cases with doctors and referring doctors, and assisting pet owners with understanding their pet’s status reports, medical records, discharge papers, and after-care needs. I also previously worked as a Veterinary Technician Assistant where I was responsible for doing tasks such as confirming symptoms, reporting suspected diagnoses, performing CPR and first aid, checking vital signs, expressing anal glands, examining stool samples, clipping nails, cleaning ears, and administering a variety of different oral, topical, and injectable medications. Besides my professional experience, I have 16 years of personal experience caring for animals as I have had many pets throughout my life. I currently have 2 dogs (one dachshund mix and one black mouth cur mix,) 1 rabbit, 6 guinea pigs, and 1 tortoise. I also previously had a golden retriever, a shiba inu, a bearded dragon, 2 ferrets, and 4 hamsters. In addition to all of this, I have even fostered 16 rescue dogs, raised 2 working dogs, and dog-sat numerous family / friends dogs. I have much experience working with animals of different sizes, breeds, and personalities and would love to continue to increase this experience by caring for your pet when you are unavailable and or away. My dog has special needs and so it was great having a veterinary professional look after him while I was out of town. Gabrielle knew how to monitor his glucose levels and give him his insulin and she also kept me updated as she did these things. She even expressed his anal glands and clipped his nails too on top of providing both basic and advanced care for him. Great service!
Gabrielle is dependable, attentive, AND a veterinary professional! I was not worried having my beloved baby with her while I was away. I will now be booking all future boarding stays with her!
You will be worry free if you hire Gabrielle as your fur baby’s walker / pet sitter! She will send you photos and videos for updates on how your baby is doing, which is a big relief. Not to mention Gabrielle and her partner Dylan are just the sweetest couple ever who probably are the biggest animal lovers I know!
As a Veterinary Care Specialist, Gabrielle goes above and beyond with ensuring that clients understand the best way(s) to care for their pets after getting treatment done at the vet center we work at. She cares for pet patients as if they are her own and so I know she would do the same for pets on Rover.

Care at my home: My apartment complex is a gated community that includes fields of grass and safely constructed sidewalks for walking. It also has both a “beach” area where dogs can dig in the sand and a fenced-in dog park where they can run and play off-leash. My apartment itself is a one bedroom with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, balcony (which is safe for pets,) and 6 cameras installed to help with monitoring pets in-house. Pets visiting my home will be staying in my living room where they can play, free-roam, and lounge on my sofa-bed or dog bed, when supervised. For the nighttime and when I have to leave my home without the pet (which would be unlikely,) they will be in my gated-off kitchen and will have their very own large-sized dog bed, toys, food bowl, and water bowl. For the nighttime, pets can also sleep with me and my dogs in my bedroom if they need more company and or supervision. In addition to this, for exercise and relieving themselves, pets will be taken on walks and will have the ability to utilize my apartment complex’s dog park (when there are no other dogs present besides my own.) Pets can also take a trip to the beach with me for more fun, if approved by owner(s). Please also note that feedings will entirely depend on the instructions of the owner(s) and that for hydration, a water bowl will always be accessible to pets both in my home and on-the-go. Care at your home: I will care for your pet in any way that is instructed of me in your home!

I have much experience caring for pets of different temperaments and medical conditions but I would like to prepare for these special needs, if possible. In addition to this, if your pet will be staying in my home, please note that I have 2 dogs so I would also like to confirm that your pet is dog friendly and fully vaccinated - thank you!
A typical day
When I’m not snuggling-up with them at home, I like to bring pets to fenced-in parks (when no other dogs are present) to play fetch and have them run around with me (and my dogs if they are staying at my home.) I also like to bring pets to the beach to wade in (or swim in) the water and dig in the sand, if approved by the owner(s).

Availability
I currently work from home so I have much flexibility with assisting families with pet-care. For boarding and daycare, I will be able to provide pet-care 24/7. For dog-walking and visits, I will be able to provide pet-care every 4 hours or less, depending on how close the family lives from me.
