Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Gabby (short for Gabrielle) and any dog or cat I’ve met I have loved like my own. Growing up, I lived on a "farmette" so taking care of animals is second nature to me! I started out by pet sitting for my grandparents older pups and cats and siblings young pups. For the past year, I’ve started caring for others, in addition. Barn work, pet sitting routins that include long or short walks, grooming and house sitting; I’ve got experience with it all! I’ve also administered medication to dogs of many ages and sizes. Our pups were rescued as well, with little training, so teaching them tricks was always a fun time and nothing to be ashamed of.
Reviews
Gabby was awesome with our pitty Jax! She kept us up to date on everything with pics and videos! My husband and I are very particular with who we have watch our boy, and she exceeded our expectations! We came home to a happy, healthy and content pup! We’re looking forward to booking with her again 🐶
Gabby is the best!! All our pets were happy and well taken care of while we were gone. I loved that she sent pictures and updates everyday!
First time booking with Gabby! We came home and our pets were happy and well taken care of. We are happy to have found a trustworthy person to care for our animals while we are away. Loved getting daily updates and pictures of my fur babies since I’m always very anxious about leaving them. Will definitely book her again!
Overall great experience, dogs were spoiled with love and affection and well taken care of. Picture updates were send regularly, kids loved that. And our house was left cleaner then it started, which was above and beyond. Hope to work together in the future and will recommend to friends. Thank you

Steps to a healthy companion -- My pet Mantra: 1) Pets need healthy food. 2) ALWAYS give your pets 24/7 access to fresh drinking water. >>> I have really taken a liking to the pet water fountains. They are awesome!<<< 3) Pets require doctor visits and healthy habits. 4) Pets need to go to the bathroom regularly. >>> THINK. Every time you have to go to the bathroom, they do too! <<< 5) Make sure that your pet gets regular exercise. 6) Proper pet care includes providing a safe and cozy shelter. >>> Your pet will thank you for a good nook/corner to escape to. I prefer using clean pillows and blankets :) <<< 7) Always remind your pets that you love them and life would be much worse without them. >>> Animals are truly a gift. We are so grateful to have them. <<<
Information Gabrielle L. would like to know about your pet
Imformation that is always important to know about another dog includes asking about the dog's temperament, activity level, dietary needs and restrictions, and ANY medical issues involved. I always make sure to ask for the location and phone number of their vet in case of emergencies. They can happen. Ask the owners to make a schedule of when they usually feed and walk the dog or administer medication. Usually a walking/routine schedule of their normal, everyday routines or even idiosyncracies makes it a lot easier to get along with the pups. I always recommend a animal consultation before hand to see if your pet is comfortable with me.

With the owners permission I love to ask if I'm able to bring over puzzle toys. According to my favorite pet sitting site, "Puzzle toys can be a great addition to your typical pet-sitting visits, but be sure to get your client's permission. Interactive games, such as puzzle toys, provide a dog with physical and mental stimulation, allowing him to use his problem-solving abilities" (ASPCA) If this isn't an option for your pet, I also try to involve interactive games with the pet so they don't get bored and can be distracted while their owners are away. I know my pup gets anxious and bored easily, so playing hide and seek with toys, puzzle toys or hiding treats around the house is also how to keep them entertained while I would be away for work.

Pet care is an everyday chore! Living on a farm has taught me that when you sign up for the responsibility to look after an animal, there are no days off! That's where I swoop in. Call me for the week, weekend, morning or night and I'm there!
