Pet care experience
With a decade of hands-on experience working with animals, my days revolve around the delightful company of my dog, cat and horse. When I’m not at home hanging out with my pets, I’m at the barn where I am trusted to care for over a dozen horses (and a pig!). Through my time not only with my animals at home, but at the barn as well, I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of the diverse needs and personalities of our four-legged companions. As a cat, dog, and horse owner, as well as a trusted neighbourhood pet sitter, I understand the unique bond we share with our furry friends, as well as the importance creating an environment filled with love, care, and endless belly rubs in your absence! I look forward to meeting your adorable companions.

My daughter Gabrielle loves animals and cares about them. She is perfect for this position and we believe you won't have any issues with her looking after them. Gabrielle also owns a young horse and she takes care of her horse and others horses. At her barns they also have dog and cats there. She brings them foods every time she is there working. We also have a bouvier and a cat at home, if you don't see the pets downstairs, you know they are in her room. We truly believe she will do a great job with you guys. Thank you for giving her this opportunity.
We can't speak highly enough of Gabrielle! We have had her watch over our cat and dog many times and each time it has been a wonderful experience. Gabrielle has a passion for animals that is evident in the care she provides and the calm and confident presence she has. Our animals can be a bit shy with strangers however, she made sure she met them prior and showed patience in ensuring they could place their trust in her. She sent lots of photos and made sure she communicated with us each visit. We always felt our animals were in great hands! We will surely have Gabrielle visit again soon!

When I’m at home, I start the day by feeding my dog and cat their first meal of the day. After that, I let my dog outside, and make sure they both ate their food and that everything is normal. During the day, I will typically run around with my cat as he is still a kitten and has lots of energy! I will also take my dog for a walk around the neighbourhood as often as possible to make sure she is exercised and happy. At lunch, my kitten is usually sleeping, but my dog will get her lunch and then the day is pretty calm until they both get their dinner! When I’m at a clients house, I will feed, exercise, and care for each animals as directed to me. And, at the barn, my duties include feeding, watering, turning out each horse to their respective field, cleaning stalls, cleaning the floor, making their grained food, and finally bringing them back in for the night!

A typical day
My favourite thing to do is to play with your dog either indoor or outdoors (or both) depending on the directions given to me! I am also happy to take your dog for as short or as long of a walk as they would like. I also think an important part of caring for a dog includes a bit of cuddles, whether that is scratches or just sitting together in the same room for a while and relaxing. Whatever they need!

Availability
I have a dog and a cat of my own that I adore and spend most of my time caring and tending to. That includes making sure they are being fed a healthy and balanced diet, that they get their exercise either through games at home or walks around the neighbourhood, and that they are happy and content! I also have a horse that I go to visit and exercise nearly everyday, and when I am not with my horse I am being trusted to care for the other 19 horses, a dog, three cats, and a pig. My duties include feeding each animals their respective meals, cleaning out each stall, filling up water pales, feeding them hay, turning them out to their fields, and completing any other duties given to me by any of the owners. It makes for a busy week, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
