Gabriella seems friendly enough but there’s a few issues that dampened my experience. I sent my dog with a harness and bandana and when he was returned both were imprinted on his body and the areas they covered on his neck and upper chest were completely tangled and matted. It has taken days to detangle with many areas requiring shaving due to knotting. The only conclusion I can draw as to how this occurred is that neither item was removed from him the entirety of his stay (every photo sent had him wearing both for the stay of five days) which is extremely concerning. Not leaving clothing on seems a bit ridiculous to have to note as an instruction and feels careless for someone who is supposed to be an experienced sitter. Despite me sending pet wipes for usage, upon pickup he smelled extremely unpleasant like stale urine and dirt. All treats sent were untouched. I’ve not experienced any of these particular issues at home or with other sitters. I also found it strange that I had to check in with Gabriella on multiple occasions instead her regularly contacting with updates. She was very brief and generic with contact and virtually aloof. Would not recommend for individuals with long haired (or high maintenance) pets if you don’t want to be required to note basic care instructions to avoid issues such as involuntarily having to shave your pet coats from extreme matting. I get the impression Gabriella is tolerable to small dogs and not quite enthusiastic otherwise, which was reflected by my experience.

Gabriella is a super loving and kind person and it shows in her care for her dog, Snow, and any other pets she’s around! I’ve seen first hand the quality care she gives when she interacts with animals. I’ve had Gabriella watch my dog before and know I can always rely on her to make sure he’s comfortable and loved. She’s a smart, dedicated, organized, and communicative medical student and I have no doubt she’s the best choice to care for your fur-baby!
