I have loved dogs since I was little, even making slide shows to help convince my parents that we had to have one! That carried on into my adult life, as I worked at Pet Smart at their Pet Hotel, where I was in charge of feeding dogs and cats, playing with them, walking them in an indoor facility, monitoring their play with others in the play groups, and making sure they were safe. This included a lot of training and monthly updates on the training, as we all know how important it is to properly know how to care for pets as every dog is not the same (for example, I know dogs with smushed in faces need special care during walks). That job also gave me great experience and education on how to deal with dogs if they are not getting along with another dog, so if that scenario were to arise, I am trained in how to handle it. I loved this job and every day when I walked into work it didn't feel like 'work' because I got to know the dogs so well and know them and the pet parents on a personal level. I had to unfortunately quit when school started back up as I was just too busy. However, now my schedule has slowed down and I really want to get back to doing something with dogs again! Other than that I grew up with dogs my whole life and currently have a frenchie and Boston terrier (family dogs that live at my parents) and I recently became a mother to a puppy mutt named Poker.
