Pet care experience
I've had 6 dogs in my lifetime - a Beegle, a Lab X, Cocker Spaniel, Shih Tzu, Shih Tzu X and my current dog, a Golden Retriever. For each dog I enrolled myself and them in puppy or dog training classes, and learned through the courses and life experience how to provide the best care, attention and training to ensure optimum health and well-being for each of my dogs. My Golden Retriever, Paul, has partial ACL tears in both his knees so I've learned to support him and his healing so that he stays active, healthy and strong despite those issues. I've incorporated games and fun activities in his daily exercise routine to keep him stimulated, happy and content. As a dog walker through Rover, I will provide solo dog walks and visits, giving your dog one-on-one loving care and attention to meet their daily needs.

I have personally witnessed Gabriele around numerous dogs and she has a special way with them. She listens to the owners and understands what the dogs needs are. I am happy to also help with any special needs your dog may have - food, medications, top up their water dish. If your dog needs additional support in terms of training and behavior modification, I have some strategies I've used with great success and I would love to learn your approach (commands and strategies) to maintain consistency and the pup's learning momentum.

How to safely enter the home. Does the dog have allergies or any behavioral issues? Any particulars to be aware of in the home. If anyone will be home when I come by. Is all the gear close to front door - leash, towel, poop bags, coat, etc. Do I need to go any further into the home passed the foyer? Any other instructions to interact with the dog, like preferred commands, gestures, etc.
A typical day
Dogs love to smell. We'll go for a suitable walk then we can play "find it", I'll place treats around the area and the dog can sniff out the treats. Also, hiding a small amount of treats rolled in a towel is fun and stimulating - they dig, scratch and nose around to get to the treats. Dogs tend to love to sniff a lot on the walk. If the pooch is up to it, a game of fetch and some basic training make the visit fun and fulfilling for everyone.

Availability
I'm available full-time, Monday to Friday, to provide daily care to your dog starting with first walks at 6 am and last walks of the day starting at 3 pm.
