Hello! I'm Gabby, a 24 year old teacher who loves pets! Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs. My family had three dogs throughout my childhood, Princess, Buddy, and Sammy, and I was always eager to spend time with family and friends' dogs as well. Though I still find time to see Sammy on weekends, I dearly miss having dogs in my life (my cat Penny strives to fill the void). I am free all day during the summer months, making me a flexible and reliable dog walker or sitter. I would be honored to spend time with your dogs and/or cats to take them on walks, act as a playmate, and reinforce previously trained behaviors. I've never met a cat or dog that was too big or too small for me to love spending time with!

Gabriela is responsible, communicative, and loving individual who will make the care of your dog is her upmost priority. She grew up with dogs her whole life and understands how they are truly part of the family. As a full-time middle school teacher, Gabriela understands how to adapt her approach to support the needs specific to each dog. She also is mindful of the importance of play and activity in a dog’s life and will incorporate lots of fun during her time with your dog. Your dog will be in great hands with Gabriela!
Gabby has been around pets all her life and has loved dogs as long as I’ve known her. Her background working at the NY Aquarium gave her a lot of useful knowledge around animals, their behaviors, and the ability to understand exactly what a dog needs in every situation. She is the first one to lend a lap to sit on while also being the first to run throughout the park playing fetch. The size and type of dog is irrelevant to Gabby; she finds a way to connect with the dog regardless.

I would love to know if you have any specific behaviors you would like me to reinforce. My sister is a former sea-lion and dog trainer, which has given me a lot of exposure to the training world. For example, if you want your dog to practice sitting before crossing the street, let me know and I will be sure to maintain the same expectation! Also, please let me know if your dog has a specific treat that he/she can or cannot have.
A typical day
I am flexible on where I can walk your pet, and would love to know if you have any park preferences! If not, I enjoy walking down Ocean Parkway or through Marine Park! I love playing tug-a-war or running alongside a four-legged friend.
