Pet care experience
Growing up I had 2 dogs, a golden retriever and a shitzu. My family often relied on me to walk and feed the dogs. Today I have a 10 month old mixed breed puppy, who gets plenty of walks and playtime throughout the week. Since she tends to be on the anxious side, I have gained experience dealing with dog reactivity on walks. I received training from animal behaviorists in how to manage some of her reactive behaviors (e.g., freezing when she is frightened), and she has improved immensely!

I have known Gabby for a long time, and she is one of the most loving and caring people I have ever met. She is great with people and dogs, and both species find her easy to get along with. She is also extremely organized and responsible; she is rarely late for anything, does what she is supposed to do, and does it well. Gabby would be an excellent dog-walker and dog-sitter for you.

Gabby is an AMAZING dog sitter. I've never seen my pup any happier. She's always punctual and super friendly. She loves Cooper (my dog) and he loves her back! It's great seeing him getting his playtime while having someone reliable watch over him while I'm at work. I've never ever ever had a complaint about Gabby and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter in the area.

When walking dogs I always try to be very engaging to keep the dogs focus on me instead of the million other distractions in the environment. I make sure to bring plenty of enticing treats with me in case I need to distract the dog from another distraction in the environment.

A typical day
There are many nature walks very close to my home that would be very fun for any dog! Also, I have a sizable backyard for dogs to run around in. I am very active so I would love to get outside and run around with any dog!

I am a graduate student working from home, which offers me a flexible schedule to take dogs for walks throughout the day. I am typically able to take so 2-3 walks daily.
