Pet care experience
Hi my name is Gaby and I would love to care for your pets! I've house-sat, taken care of dogs, and walked dogs throughout high school. In college, I was on the pre-veterinary track and worked at a veterinary clinic to gain more experience working with pets on a professional level. After college I worked at a dog-boarding facility and have gained a lot of experience working with a diverse range of dogs and cats! I have experience working with giant breed to small sized dogs and highly active to very timid personalities. I love dogs and I will be attending veterinary school in the fall to continue with my dreams of caring for animals! I look forward to providing the best care for your fur-babies!

I am able to visit at home and go for walks around your neighborhood. If your dog prefers to be alone I can provide a fun 1:1 play session or walk and if your dog prefers walking with buddies I can bring my dog along! I enjoy going for hikes and know some great scenic spots that I have explored with my own dog and would love to share these adventures with active dogs that would also enjoy that.

I would like to know the dog’s activity level and what would be the best way for me to exercise them, both mentally and physically. I would also like to know how they interact with other dogs in case we are unable to avoid passing others on the walk. Lastly, I would like to know how they are with new people so that I can make sure to provide the best stress-free care for them.
A typical day
A typical day for me would include a long walk or a shorter walk and a play session in the morning before I go to work for a couple hours and then a long sniff-walk and enrichment activity in the evening. I enjoy going for local hikes, using AllTrails to find the best dog-friendly hikes in the area. I also enjoy going for nice neighborhood walks for the dogs who don’t need as much activity, making sure to encourage a good sniff-walk so the dogs can exercise their mind as well as their body.

I am currently a first year veterinary student so my schedule varies week to week. I typically have most afternoons off, as well as weekends. We can discuss specific routines on a weekly basis.
