I enjoy caring for dogs because I'm an animal lover and enjoy spending time with different types of pups and cats. I have worked with dogs and cats in multiple animal shelters (Sean Casey Animal Shelter, Bideawee, and a shelter upstate) and through a private dog-walking business. My favorite part of dog walking/sitting is getting to know their different personalities. As a dog walker, I am confident and able to guide dogs along their favorite routes, giving them time to sniff around while keeping them safe and away from hazards. I'm reliable and sure to arrive on time to care for your pet. I thrive on routine and am able to keep things calm and consistent to ease any stress your dog may be feeling about walking with a new person. Additionally, I have worked with elderly dogs and dogs with special needs who need a little extra care and a slower pace. I am also very comfortable around cats, even those with tricky personalities. I'm happy to feed and water them and enjoy playing with cats who are comfortable being social. The pandemic has prevented me from dog walking this year, but now that I'm fully vaccinated, I’m excited to get back in the field where it will be a great joy to walk dogs and cat sit. To keep you and your furry friend safe, I will wear a face mask, gloves and carry hand sanitizer as a precaution against COVID-19. Also happy to share my vaccination card.

Gabe has proven time and time again that the dogs and cats he looks after are his top priority. He does this by sticking to a routine and abiding by the schedules set-out by the owners. I personally assisted Gabe in acclimating to his dog walking responsibilities with Rockin' Dogs and it was evident from the start that the pups loved him. He got down on their level, talked to them, played with them, encouraged them, and had a deep understanding of what they needed. Gabe was very communicative with the owner at Rockin' Dogs and flexible when there was a last minute change of plans. It's important to note that Gabe has experience with dogs of varying ages and abilities. He was immensely patient with the pups that were older and required a slower pace and a sensitive touch. Additionally, Gabe has cats of his own and does a phenomenal job of caring for them, and is very excited at the opportunity to bond with other cats and dogs, as well as their owners. I can't recommend Gabe's services enough. He's dependable and a real animal lover.
You can't go wrong hiring Gabe as a dog walker or pet sitter. As a high functioning autistic, Gabriel is verbal, physically active, and highly responsible when it comes to his duties. He has a lot of experience with animals in a variety of scenarios -- he has worked in animal shelters, done individual dog walking, and is an intern at the Queens zoo, explaining animal traits and behaviors to the public. He is a knowledgeable and loving expert on animals. He works with a job coach who helps him get acclimated to new jobs, and will supervise him until he is ready to function fully independently with your pet. You can rely on Gabe, and guaranteed your pet will love him.
Gabriel is an experienced dog caregiver. He is exceptional in his ability to connect with and take care of animals, and is highly trustworthy. Highly recommended.
