Although I didn’t have pets of my own until I was in high school, as a child I was constantly in the company of dogs. From tiny puppers to Great Danes, our neighbors and family all had dogs of their own. Because of this, my household was always the first to take on long-term sitting jobs. My brother and I were always expected to take on equal responsibility of these pets, and we treated them as our own.
