Hi, I’m Gabrielle! I became a dog walker to fill my summer before going back to school in the fall. I enjoy walking around my neighborhood in my free time and there is no better companion for a walk than a dog! Like most kids, I begged my parents for a puppy constantly. But it wasn’t until I was 15 that my persistence paid off. My parents finally agreed, and we went out to pick a pup! I fell in love with a little curly cockapoo to be named Moe. My sisters and I all agreed we would faithfully train and care for Moe and spent our summer vacation reading every book we could on how to be the best dog owners possible. Since my days as a novice puppy trainer, I have never been too far from an animal. I’ve been a sitter for pets from pitbulls to kittens and walked dogs of all shapes and sizes. A few summers back I stayed with my sister and helped her train her new puppy, Huxley. While my sister went to work, I took Huxley to puppy classes and for walks around the neighborhood. Walking with a puppy in training reminded me how important it is to be clear and consistent with my commands and expectations. This way I could keep Huxley safe, and we both could enjoy our walks! When your dog is with me, they can expect lots of ear scratches, walks around the neighborhood, and a moderate amount of treats. As a former preschool teacher, my job was often compared to herding cats. My priority is to have fun while making sure everyone is safe and this will be the same with your pets!
