Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. Ive had a springer spaniel and now have a cocker spaniel (aged 8).In recent years I have been relied on by friends, family & rover clients to look after their dogs; providing walks, company, cuddles, feeding and giving medication. I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes, ranging from cavapoos to Rottweilers & standard labroddles. I have currently looked after 26 different dogs through the rover app ( 14 different breeds). Every local owner has rebooked🥰. I understand that dogs are your whole world and you want someone else to love them & care for them as much as you do. Whilst your dog is with me I will do just this.

Gabby has been a life-saver this week. She accepted a very late booking and was completely understanding of the situation. Our dog loved seeing her each day and Gabby provided loads of video and written updates which kept us updated. Thanks Gabby 😊
Tilly had a lovely time with Gabby as always xx
Auron had a great day with Gabby and Ralph, she took any worries away and I could see he was having a great time, despite it being his first daycare on Rover. One very happy doggy returned, thanks
Jack had a very enjoyable day with Gabby and her lovely dog Ralph. It was his first time and he was a little unsettled at first but Gabby gave him lots of tlc and sent us regular updates with texts and videos throughout the day. He soon settled and enjoyed his walk and the lovely big garden. Thank you Gabby, it was so nice to go away knowing that Jack was in such hands. Suzy

I have a large garden for dogs to run around in and kitchen/bedroom/summer house area for when the weather isn’t good. I have fences on either side of my garden and a large gate by the entrance of my house that is secured with rope to ensure no dog can escape. The back of my garden does have steps down onto the river stour but I always monitor my dog when he is near there. I feed him and am able to exercise him every day. I follow the owners feeding, medication & walk schedule well. I will follow all your guidelines, for example I allow dogs to sleep on my bed but if you do not want this I won’t allow it.

Information Gabby D. would like to know about your pet
I have never looked have a dog with special needs before. It is important for me to know about their toilet training skills, if they need medication and how best to give it to them. If they dislike certain things/ things to avoid. If they are good off the lead. If they have a good recall.
A typical day
Your dog can enjoy my large garden and splashing around in the river at the end of our garden; which I would always monitor. My health can vary from day to day; but on a good day I would love to walk your dog to the fields near our house for a good run around, and on days when I can't walk as well I will entertain your dog with plenty of games in the garden. I am home all day so your dog will always be in my attention/ presence. I just adore dogs so I will be giving them plenty of love and fuss. I understand that one can be anxious about leaving your dog but I always send photo updates and messages to you during the day to ease any worries you may have. Please feel free to bring any bedding, crate (if this would benefit your dog to have some solo downtime), toys, food you feel they would want. No need to bring tennis balls as Ralph manages to find one on every walk we go on and have around 30!!

I’ve had long covid for nearly 2 years (similar to CF/ME) and unable to work. This means I have a flexible, open schedule and will be able to give your dog my full attention at all times. I’m getting a lot better and on my good days I am able to give my dog a medium sized walk. I can take your dogs down to the field close to my house or with your permission take them to the Heathland or beach. On days when I’m more fatigued I am able to let my dog out in our garden (I have a large one) and he is able to get lots of exercise this way either my general play, exploring or running after a ball. I have really enjoyed and been provided with great love and support this year by my own dog as he has been by my side giving me cuddles and love when I’ve not been able to move. I’m looking for other dogs that I can provide love & care to.
