During my younger years, I was fortunate to spend summers at my aunt’s veterinary hospital, where she worked as a vet tech. From age 8 to 13, I was immersed in a world of animal care, learning invaluable lessons along the way. Those summers were bustling with activity, from assisting in rescues to nurturing animals back to health. One of the most memorable experiences was rescuing and caring for a litter of puppies, a task that filled my days with joy and purpose. Beyond the hospital walls, I extended my caregiving skills to friends and family pets, administering medications and providing loving care. Whether it was assisting giving injections, eye drops, or oral medications, I approached each task with dedication and compassion. These experiences not only shaped my understanding of animal welfare but also instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility and empathy. Today, as a 30-year-old, I continue to carry these lessons with me, finding fulfillment in caring for our beloved furry friends.
