Animals are my passion, I grew up with guinea pigs but often watched cats and dogs in my neighborhood. Now, I'm a loving mom to an adorable 5-year old tortie cat named Matilda and a 3-year old hound/pitbull mix, Riley. My two girls bring me so much joy every single day! After gaining an MS in Nature Management in 2015 and collecting several years of work experience in that field I decided to put my main focus on pet care. I am currently working as a pet sitter "full time" and am aspiring to become a service dog trainer for environmental science. A field that combines my love for nature and dogs! I have experience with cats and dogs from shy to energetic. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahua to American Mastiff and I'm comfortable around all of them. I'm always calm and positive around pets and give them the time they need to get comfortable in my presence. I have experience with senior dogs and puppies, blind dogs and dogs with leg injuries. I have changed diapers, given oral medication and cleaned up messes. I have administered insulin to diabetic cats and juggled multiple pets at the same time with a diverse array of medical conditions and feeding routines. I'm always eager to learn new skills and will make sure your pet is taken care for the way they are used to from you! I'm adjusting to the pets needs and love and appreciate all the details the owners can give me about their pets character, routine, energy level and favorite activity! If you have an energetic dog, I love to take long walks and/or play with them and their favorite toy to get them happy and tired. If you have a shy dog, I'll give it space and time to adjust and get to know me or engage in an activity that makes them relax and get comfortable. I'll take the owners advice very seriously and custom my stay around the needs of the specific pet!
