Pet care experience
Hello! I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish and small animals for about ten years now. I have a degree in marine biology, as well as professional experience at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada and our own local animal shelter. I’m happy to take care of tank maintenance for anyone needing a helping hand with that in addition to pet sitting! As for four legged friends, I have my own dog (Ellie, pug mix) and have grown up around them all my life. I have recently sat for two households of three dogs each, and am comfortable with large and small breeds and those with medical concerns. I have a cat with a chronic medical condition requiring medication twice a day so I am familiar with taking care of ill animals and some basic veterinary first aid. Was very responsive and took great care of my animals.
Freya was excellent with our spoiled dogs. Older boxer needs help getting up and down steps to go out, our middle aged german shepherd needs exercise daily by ball throwing in the back yard…they were raised on acrerage, not very socialized and we now live in town near a busy street so always fear they’ll take off chasing someone… (cuz they’re not leash dogs). The boys immediately liked her which sealed the deal when they met. She left our house perfect and we highly recommend her for your beloved pets.
Great job taking care of my bunnies! I will definitely use her again! I was able to go away with peace of mind.

I live in an apartment with a 55 gallon freshwater fish tank, my cats and my dog Ellie, who is an 8 year old pug mix. One of my cats, Odin, has chronic anemia requiring medication twice a day. My roommate is luckily able to provide this when I’m gone, and I’m comfortable caring for pets that do have medical concerns. Safety is my number one priority. When caring for homes I always make sure that the door is locked and any hazards are put out of reach of pets. I have basic pet first aid experience and knowledge of where many vets are located in the valley.

Availability
I work full time at a primary care clinic in Wasilla, and I am lucky enough to have long lunches for potty breaks and play time during the day. I’m available for walks and full time sitting on weekends and at about 5:30 pm after work. I’m happy to sit overnights or on a visiting basis (popping in for playtime, food and water and walks but not staying there). I can accommodate weekend needs for clients in Anchorage. I’m also happy to do additional baths, walks or play-time during the week!
