Growing up with dogs, and now having two of my own along with two cats (Harley, Sadie, Oliver and Eleanor), made me realize that I wouldn't trade the bonds made with them for anything. One of the biggest things I learned very early on is how all dogs feed off of your energy. Paying attention to how I'm coming off when approaching a dog for example, as suppose to the other way around, helped me make connections with dogs. I'm the kind of person who meets a dog and quickly finds his or her sweet scratching spot.
