Pet care experience
At this time I'm only doing dog walking and drop-in visits. I hope to resume boarding and daycare at a later point. I've taken care of dogs my entire life and love all breeds and sizes. The past four years I've been a dog sitter and dog walker full time. I'm an avid runner, and can run or walk your dogs as needed. During drop in visits I tend to stay longer than the half hour that the app automatically books, since I want to make sure the dogs are properly tended to and get both exercise and love. For dog walks I try to vary the routes we walk and always check with you about the amount of exercise you'd like your dog to receive. Obviously we adjust to the Florida weather on hot days. If you have an energetic dog I suggest trying out the 60 minute walks to give your dog lots of exercise, especially in winter. I'm comfortable administering medicine to animals as needed.

I keep all pets on a leash when walking them, unless you have a fenced in yard and I have clear instructions that the dog(s) is/are safe off-leash. Based on your preferences we walk or run, but also take our time sniffing things out and looking at nature, so that the walk provides exercise but is enjoyable and stimulating for your pet also. I rinse and dry off dirty paws as needed and feed your dog as well, and of course change out their water. Drop-in visits are a little longer and contain more cuddles and playing. If you have a cat, I clean the litter box, feed the cat, play with them as much as they want, and if they have other interests such as watching birds bathe or eat, I can take care of bird baths and bird feeders too. I can also do drop-in visits for chickens as needed. I'm comfortable around farm animals, so if you have pigs, sheep or goats, I'd be comfortable helping you out there as well. I stay away from dog parks when watching your dogs. I haven't had any incidents, but find it best for safety reasons.

Information Fredrika P. would like to know about your pet
I hope you can share with me how the dogs behave on a leash and what they react to - squirrels, cats, mailmen - and how they are around other dogs. I'd like to know if they've ever shown any aggressive behavior, and if they've been neutered/spayed. It's also helpful to know if they're scared of anything such as loud noises.
A typical day
On a dog walk, I show up, check in with the app so that you know I've arrived, give your dog some love and off we go. On hot days I carry water in a doggy drinking bottle. Weather allowing I walk dogs up to two miles (running breeds even 3, time allowing) before we return home. I make sure the water is fresh and stay until the dog has cooled down and settled. I talk to the dog and give them lots of pets. For a drop-in, we do the same, except also feed, play, have treats and maybe some extra cuddles. Regardless which service, all dogs are repeatedly told they're very good dogs.

Availability
I'm available mornings, lunch time and evenings. Wednesdays and Thursdays need to be discussed based on an existing schedule, I can fit in the walks but times might need to be negotiated. Monday mornings I have some time restrictions as well. I don't mind working weekends. Currently it's difficult for me to take on repeating weekly clients except for limited periods of time.
